the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the
land in the Taranaki Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said
Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land
so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by
admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood, more or less, being part
Section No. 77 (Tikorangi District). Block IX., Waitara
Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and
towards the north-east by the Ngatimaru Road, 2507·1 links ;
thence towards the south-east by Section No. 63, Block X.,
Waitara Survey District, to the right bank of the Waitara
River ; towards the south-west, and again towards the south-
east, by the said bank of the Waitara River ; and again
towards the north-west by other part of Section No. 77 of
Block IX., Waitara Survey District, 1486·7 links, to the
Ngatimaru Road aforesaid : be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked
S.G. 39089, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon coloured red. For a scenic reserve.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this tenth day of December, one thousand nine
hundred and four.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section
of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or parti-
cular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that
the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the land in the Taranaki Land District described in the

Section No. 4, Village of Tarata. Bounded towards the
north-west by Section No. 2 of Tarata Village ; towards the
north-east by the Junction Road ; towards the south-east by
Section No. 6 of said village ; and towards the south-west by
Section No. 3 of the village aforesaid : as the same is de-
lineated on the plan marked S.G. 53033, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellin-
ton, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured
red. For a site for mechanics’ institute and library.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this tenth day of December, one thousand nine
hundred and four.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 32 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 61, Block XX., Tuapeka East Survey
District. Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the
north side of a public road (the said point being distant
709·3 links in a north-westerly direction along said road
from the south-west corner of Section No. 56, Block XX.,
Tuapeka East Survey District), and proceeding thence in a
north-easterly direction bearing N. 19° 53′ E., a distance of
200 links ; thence along a line in an easterly direction bear-
ing N. 89° 55′ E., a distance of 597·9 links ; thence along
a line in a south-easterly direction bearing S. 7° 25′ E., a
distance of 244·8 links ; thence along a line in a south-
westerly direction bearing S. 86° 39′ W., a distance of 200
links ; thence along a line in a south-westerly direction
bearing S. 65° 9′ 30″ W., a distance of 153·7 links, to the said
public road, and thence along the said public road in a
north-westerly direction bearing N. 70° 7′ W., a distance of
380·9 links, to the point of commencement : be all the afore-
said linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the
plan marked S.G. 53127, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For a
public sheep-dip.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this tenth day of December, one thousand nine

the north by Section No. 17, Block VII., Oteramika Hun-
dred ; towards the east by a public road ; towards the south
by Section No. 18 of said Block VII. ; and towards the west
by Section No. 17 aforesaid : as the same is delineated on
the plan marked S.G. 46450A, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For
a site for a public school.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this tenth day of December, one thousand nine
hundred and four.
