A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, for a street in Block VIII., North Harbour and Blueskin District, Borough of Maori Hill:
And whereas the Council of the Borough of Maori Hill has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a street, and shall, as from the date aforesaid, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Maori Hill.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners, lessee, and mortgagees of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Clifton County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Ohura Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consent as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of November, 1904.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Arch Hill Road Board lately proposed to raise a loan of one hundred and sixty pounds for the purpose of forming the Great North Road and for extending drainage-works: And whereas a special order making a special rate has been made as security for the said loan: And whereas the provisions of section seventy-five of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” relating to special orders were not complied with by the said Arch Hill Road Board, inasmuch as public notice of the meeting for the purpose of passing such special order, although published for four successive weeks, was not publicly notified once during each of the four weeks immediately preceding the meeting at which such resolution was proposed: And
