Altitude, 1,100 ft. above sea-level, and comprises undulating and level land, covered with mixed forest, mostly tawa, with a few rimu; good grass land; light soil, and well watered by small streams. Situated about eighteen miles from Tauranga.

Altitude, from 400 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level; broken pastoral land covered with mixed forest; soil fair. Situated about ten miles from Kawhia Harbour by graded road.
