PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and “The Animals Protection Act 1880 Amendment Act, 1886,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notification prohibit absolutely the taking or killing of the undermentioned birds, being birds indigenous to the said Colony of New Zealand; and I do hereby declare that this notification shall take effect on the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette :—

Bittern or matuku-hurepo (Botaurus poeciloptilus).

Little bittern or kioriki (ArdeUa pusilla).

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Act, 1888,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that

WALTER MOORHOUSE NEWTON,

being a person holding the office of Postmaster under “The Post Office Act, 1900,” at Kinohaku, is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

As witness my hand, this thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four.

Trustees for the Kopuatama Public Cemetery appointed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

The Stratford Borough Council KOPUATAMA.
All that area situated in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres, more or less, being Section No. 113, Block II., Ngai re Survey District : as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 39583, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four.

Trustee for the Forest Gate Public Cemetery appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

to be a Trustee, in the place of Mads Sattrup, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Forest Gate Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four.

to be Trustees, in the place of Thomas Smith, deceased, and Joseph George, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Inglewood Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four.

to be Trustees, in the place of Neal Dempsey and Archibald McCorkendale, and

PATRICK McINERNEY

to be an additional Trustee, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Tuapeka West Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.
