MOA ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
THAT a special rate of ½d. in the pound be made and levied, for a period of one year ending 28th October, 1904, over the following lands, which are hereby constituted the Kaimata North Special-rating District: Sections 9, 18, 19, 20, part 28, Block I., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, part 7 (in two subdivisions), Block II., Huiroa Survey District; Sections 1, 2 (in two subdivisions), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (in two subdivisions), 8, 9, 10, 11, Block 14, Waitara; Sections 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, Rimutauteka Block—such rate to be payable in one instalment at the Board’s office, Inglewood, on 16th December, 1903.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been made by the Moa Road Board in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

WAIMATE ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
THAT this Board, by special order, declares the ox-eye daisy (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum), included in the Third Schedule of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” to be a noxious weed within the Waimate Road District. Such special order to take effect from the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.

THAT the Makara Road Board, in compliance with the prayer of the petition of G. Monk and others, presented on the 19th day of December, 1903, after due advertisement, doth hereby resolve by way of special order that the existing subdivisions of the Makara Road District be abolished, and that the Makara Road Board be constituted as consisting of five members; and that this order do come into force on the 4th day of April, 1904.

TAIERI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Council of the Taieri County, considering that the sum of £5,777, by the ratepayers of the South Taieri Special-rating District authorised to be borrowed for the public works hereinafter mentioned, and for the purpose of providing the interest on which loan a special rate of ⅔d. in the pound upon the rateable values of the rateable property within the said district was made by this Council by special order taking effect on the 28th day of January, 1901, has been found insufficient to complete the said works, and that application has been made to the Colonial Treasurer under section 68 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for a further loan of £577 to complete the said works, hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £577, authorised to be raised by the said Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, to complete the making, metalling, and graveling of the following public roads within the South Taieri Special-rating District—viz., Poplar Road, Henley-Berwick Road, Centre Road, Otokia-Maungatua Road, B Drain Road, and Miller’s Road—the Taieri County Council aforesaid hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁄₂₅d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the South Taieri Special-rating District, comprising the area of land described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such further loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such further loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until such further loan is fully paid off; and also that the special rate hereby made is to be in addition to the said special rate of ⅔d. in the pound already made as above recited. The time at which this special order shall take effect shall be the 31st day of January, 1904.
THE SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO.
All that area of land in the Provincial District of Otago and Colony of New Zealand, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point being the intersection of the boundary-line between Sections 49 and 50, Block IV., Maungatua District, and the right bank of the Taieri River; thence towards the north-east by said Section 50; towards the south-east by Sections 50, 51, 52, 2 of 53, and 54, of said Block IV.; towards the north-east by a road-line and Section 49 of Block III., Maungatua District, to Trig. L; towards the south-east by part of said Section 49; towards the north-east by Section 46 of said Block III.; towards the south-east also by said Section 46 and part of Section 45 of said Block III.; towards the north-east by a road-line; towards the north-north-west by Section 72 of said Block III.; towards the east-north-east by Sections 72 and 53 of said Block III.; towards the north-north-west by a road-line; towards the east-north-east by a road-line and Section 67 of said Block III.; thence towards the north-north-west by Section 65 of said Block III.; towards the north-east by said Section 65 and a closed road-line; towards the north-north-west by Section 38, Block III., Taieri District; towards the north-west by a road-line and Sections 2 of 1, 1 of 6, 2 of 6, 3 of 6, 1 of 8, 2 of 8, 1 of 10, 2 of 10, Block I., Maungatua Dis-
