Altitude varying from about 900 ft. to 1,650 ft. above sea-level; broken and undulating country, a great part of it easy slopes, with some flat land along Wairau Stream; soil fair to good, covered with mixed forest containing totara, rata, rimu, and taraire, the taraire predominating in some parts of the block. Situated from ten to fourteen miles from Hokianga Heads, and four to eight miles from Waimamaku Post-office.
