Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 57 acres and 13 perches, more or less, being Section No. 69 of Block II., Whangape Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a forest reserve, Block XV., Takahue Survey District; towards the north-east generally by a public road; towards the south by Section No. 68 of Block II., Whangape Survey District; and towards the west by Section No. 3 of Block XIV., Takahue Survey District: as the same is delineated on plan marked S.G. 52580, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured purple. For primary education.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 188 acres, more or less, being Section No. 19 of Block VIII., Opuawhanga Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west generally by a public road; towards the east by Section No. 20 of Block VIII., Opuawhanga Survey District, across a road, and again by said Section No. 20; and towards the south by Section No. 13 of the said Block VIII. to the public road aforesaid: excluding a road, 100 links wide, more or less, which intersects the above-described boundaries: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 52580a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured purple. For primary education.

Notice of Intention to define the Purpose of a Reserve in the Otago Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the fifth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that, if there shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be any doubt or uncertainty as to the purpose for which a reserve was set apart, he may by notice gazetted define such purpose or purposes as to either the whole or any part of such reserve, subject to the action of the General Assembly, as provided in the seventh section of the said Act:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was reserved for sites for public buildings or other purposes of the General Government:

And whereas it is expedient to define the specific purpose for which such land shall hereafter be set apart:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to define the specific purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto to be a reserve for Telegraph Department purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 3, 4, and 13 in Block XXIV., Township of Palmerston. Bounded towards the north by Auskerry Street, Township of Palmerston; towards the east by Sections Nos. 5 and 12 of Block XXIV. of said township; towards the south by Stronsa Street of said township; towards the west and again towards the south by Section No. 14 of the said Block XXIV.; and again towards the west by Sections Nos. 1 and 2 of Block XXIV. aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51553, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and four.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve in the Marlborough Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from “public utility” to “municipal buildings.”


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 12 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 620, 621, 622, 623, and 624, Town of Picton. Bounded towards the north by Broadway; towards the east by Kent Street; towards the south by Section No. 625 of the Town of Picton; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 616, 617, and 1142 of the said town: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 38854, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and four.
