Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 100 acres, more or less, being Section No. 6, Block VII., Mangamuka Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 12a of Block VII., Mangamuka Survey District; towards the east by a public road; towards the south by Section No. 4 of Block VII. aforesaid, by the abutment of a public road, and again by said Section No. 4; and towards the west by Section No. 11 of Block VII. aforesaid to the point of commencement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 52468, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured purple. For primary education.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 7 perches, more or less, being Section No. 218 of the Parish of Paremoremo. Bounded towards the west by a public road bounding Sections Nos. 219 and 220 of the Parish of Paremoremo; and towards the east by a public road bounding Section No. 110 of the parish aforesaid: as the same is delineated on plan marked S.G. 52468A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For a recreation reserve.

For preservation of scenery.

Bounded towards the north-west by High Street of the Town of Chertsey; towards the north-east by Section No. 2992 (in red) of the said town; towards the south-east by the water-race reserve forming the south-eastern boundary of said Section No. 2992 (in red), and by Rural Section No. 25872; and towards the south-west by Java Street of the town aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 52446, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For a gravel reserve.
