THE following special order, made by the Henui Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

HENUl ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Henui Road Board at a meeting of the Board held on the 20th day of June, 1904:—
That this Board adopt the Second Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act, to include Bathurst burr, broom, giant burdock, gorse, hakea, ragwort, and ox-eye daisy.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order was passed by the Henui Road Board at a meeting held on the 20th day of June, 1904.

THE following special order, made by the Waitara West Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

Notice is hereby given that the above Board proposes to make the following special order:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waitara West Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50, authorised to be raised by the Waitara West Road Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of deviating and constructing the Kelly Road, the said Waitara West Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kelly Road No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising Sections 139, 142, 143, 154, Block IX., Sections 144, 145, Block XIII., all of which are situated in the Waitara Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the interest on such loan is to be at the rate of 4 per centum per annum.

The above special order will be considered for adoption at a meeting to be held in the Lepperton Hall, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, the 6th day of July, 1904.

Special Order made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

At a duly convened meeting held at Mangamahu on Saturday, 4th June, 1904, the Upper Wangaehu Road Board made the following special order:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Upper Wangaehu Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of taking under the Public Works Act, if necessary, and completing the Adamson’s Ruanui–Turakina Road, the said Upper Wangaehu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Adamson’s Ruanui–Turakina Road Special-rating District, as defined by special order of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board for the original loan of £1,500, made on the 1st day of November, 1902, such special-rating district being part of the Upper Wangaehu Road District, such loan of £150 being raised under paragraph (c), subsection (1), section 8, “Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903”; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that above is a true copy of a special order made on 4th June, 1904, public notice of which was given in the Wanganui Chronicle of 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st May, 1904.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Kaitangata.

THE following special order, made by the Kaitangata Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

KAITANGATA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate on Loan of £500.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Kaitangata Borough Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for its share of the cost of erecting the bridge across the Matau Branch of the Clutha River at Kaitangata, the said Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property within the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of the months of June and December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was confirmed on the 15th May, 1902.

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Notice is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers duly held at Mangatoki on Thursday, the 4th day of August, 1904, upon the proposal of the Hawera County Council to borrow the sum of £1,650 to defray the Mangatoki Riding’s share of the cost of rebuilding or building several bridges, the number of votes recorded for and against the said proposal was as follows, that is to say,—
For the proposal, 100; against the proposal, 6; informal, 1.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.
