or not; and if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be
expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part
thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it
was set apart to any other purpose, the Governor may, by
notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change,
and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which
the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in
exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare
my intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of
the reserve described in the second column of the Schedule
hereto from that named in the first column of the said
Schedule to that named in the third column of the said
Schedule respectively.

Reserved for public utility on the 23rd September, 1861, in Marlborough Provincial Gazette, No. 25, of 4th October, 1861, page 66. | All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 39 perches, more or less. being Section No. 1160. Commencing at a point on the east side of Wellington Street, Town of Picton, the said point being distant 390 links in a northerly direction from the north side of Dublin Street, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction along the said Wellington Street, a distance of 270 links; thence in an easterly direction by a line at a right angle to said street, a distance of 90 links; thence in a southerly direction by a line at a right angle, a distance of 270 links; and thence in a westerly direction by a line at right angle, a distance of 90 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 38854A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. | Municipal buildings. |

Amending the Description of a Reserve in the Auckland Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-ninth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that where there has been any error of description made in any notification of any intended reserve, or where there appears a great discrepancy in the area of any intended reserve after the same shall have been surveyed, the Governor may cancel any notification that may have been made in respect of such reserve, and issue fresh notifications in respect thereof, with amended particulars and descriptions: And whereas an error was made in the description of part of Allotment No. 100 of the Parish of Titirangi, Auckland Land District, which was wrongly stated in the notifications dated the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and two, and the fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and three, published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1, of the eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and three, and No. 19, of the twelfth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and three, reserving the land for a quarry; and it is expedient to cancel the said notifications in so far as they relate to part of Allotment No. 100 of the Parish of Titirangi, Auckland Land District, aforesaid:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the notifications of the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and two, and the fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and three, in so far as they relate to part of Allotment No. 100 of the Parish of Titirangi, Auckland Land District, and do declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be the land set apart for railway quarry purposes intended by the said notifications.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 17 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment No. 100 of the Parish of Titirangi. Bounded towards the north-east by the Mount Albert Road, commencing at the eastern angle of Allotment No. 97 of the aforesaid Parish of Titirangi, 100 links; thence towards the south-east by Lot No. 96 and other part of Lot No. 100 of the said Parish of Titirangi, 662 links; thence towards the north-east by part of the said Lot No. 100, 690 links; thence towards the south-east by part of Lot No. 100 aforesaid, 500 and 264 links respectively; thence towards the south-west generally by part of Lot No. 100 aforesaid, 329, 150, and 764 links respectively; thence towards the north-west generally by part of Lot No. 100 aforesaid and by Lot No. 97 of the Parish of Titirangi aforesaid, 362, 231, 434, and 658 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 47667, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

Rural Lands in Marlborough Land District open for Sale or Selection.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-six of “The Land Act, 1892,” and section two of “The Bush and Swamp Crown Lands Settlement Act, 1903,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare and provide as follows, that is to say:—

The rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto are hereby set apart for disposal by way of sale or selection on and after the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four, at the prices specified in the said Schedule.

The said lands may be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on lease in perpetuity; provided that in the case of lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, they shall be selected on lease in perpetuity only and shall not be purchased for cash.

For the purposes of “The Bush and Swamp Crown Lands Settlement Act, 1903,” the lands enumerated in the said Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be “heavy-bush land.”

No general rate shall be levied or collected by any local authority from the said lands for a period of four years from the date from which in each case respectively such lands are disposed of, and no local authority shall have power to levy or collect any such rate from such lands during such period.

After the first half-year’s rent has been paid by the selector the further instalments of rent payable by him for a period of four years shall not be demanded; provided that if at any time during the first five years of his occupancy the selector disposes of his interest in the land the rent so conceded shall be paid by him in full, and thereupon the Land Board may remit such instalments of rent payable by the incoming tenant, not exceeding in the aggregate the amount of rent previously conceded to the selector, as the Board shall think fit.
