Land set apart for State Forest Purposes in the Land District of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the forest land described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for a State forest within the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 4,817 acres, more or less, being part of Subdivision No. 12, Horowhenua Block, Blocks VII., VIII., and XI., Waiopenu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 5, Block IV., Waiopenu Survey District; towards the south-east by State forest reserve in Blocks VIII., VII., and XI., Waiopenu Survey District; towards the south-west by the said State forest reserve in said Block XI., and by Section No. 53, Block X., Waiopenu Survey District; and towards the north-west generally by Subdivision No. 6A, Blocks XI. and VII., Waiopenu Survey District, by Subdivisions Nos. 3E No. 5B, 3E No. 5A, and 3E No. 5 of the Horowhenua Block, by Section No. 1, by Subdivisions Nos. 8 and 7 of the Horowhenua Block in said Block VII., and by Subdivisions Nos. 4 and 5 of the Horowhenua Block in Block III., Waiopenu Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 48337A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For a State forest.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four.

Powers delegated to the Tokanui Domain Board under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of August, 1904.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the eighteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth hereby, with the like advice and consent, and in respect of the land hereinafter mentioned, delegate all the powers conferred by the said Act, except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, for the period of ten years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), to the undermentioned persons, who shall be known as the Tokanui Domain Board, namely,—

WILLIAM McWILLIAM,
SAMUEL MILLER, and
NEIL MCEWAN
(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Wednesday in each month, at seven o’clock p.m., at Tokanui, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first Wednesday in February in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcel of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, being Section No. 15, Block II., Town of Tokanui. Bounded towards the north by a road reserve, 261, 301·9, and 335·8 links; towards the east by East Street, 217·8 links; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 9 to 14, Block II., 675·5 links; and on the west by a road reserve, 643·3 links: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the fourteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth hereby, with the like advice and consent, and in respect of the land hereinafter mentioned, delegate all the powers conferred by the said Act, except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, for the period of ten years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), to the undermentioned persons, who shall be known as the Raetihi Domain Board, namely,—
