PRIVATE ADVERTISEMENTS.
PUBLIC NOTICE.
NOTICE is hereby given that the local authority called the Whangarei Borough Council, incorporated under “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” purposes to take for the purposes of a public work, to wit, a water-supply pipe-track and reservoir, a portion of land twenty feet wide, containing one acre one rood and twenty-four perches, running through Sections Fifty two and Fifty-three of the Parish of Whangarei; and also that other portion of land, containing one rood and eight perches, more or less, being portion of Allotment Number Two, Parish of Whangarei; and another portion of land adjoining the last-mentioned piece of land, containing twenty-seven perches and three-tenths of a perch, forming part of the old Whau Whau Valley Road and Railway, and formerly portion of Allotment Number Two of the Parish of Whangarei; the several pieces of land being required for the purpose of conducting water through iron pipes laid in the ground from the head-works of the Whangarei Borough Water-supply Works, situate in Section Eight of the Parish of Pukenui, to and into the reservoir situate on the said last two mentioned pieces of land. And notice is also further given that copies of the plans of the lands required to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands as far as they can be ascertained, are deposited at the office of the Whangarei Borough Council, situate in Bank Street, Whangarei, and are open for inspection by all persons during all reasonable hours. And all persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Whangarei Borough Council at the office aforesaid.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1903”; and in the matter of “The London Assurance,” a corporation incorporated by Royal Charter in England, and carrying on business at 7, Royal Exchange, and 22, Pall Mall, London.
NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1903,” that it is the intention of the London Assurance to commence and carry on the business of marine insurance at Christchurch and elsewhere in the Colony of New Zealand, and that the office or place of business of the said company will be situated in Dalgety and Company’s Buildings, Cathedral Square, Christchurch, where legal process of any kind may be served and notices of any kind may be addressed or delivered. The business will also be carried on at the offices of Dalgety and Company (Limited) at Napier, Gisborne, Wellington, Dunedin, Timaru, and Oamaru.
