All hilly, and nearly all covered with bush, chiefly birch, with a little rata. Accessible by a dray-road up to the Roding River, and distant about ten miles from the Hope Railway-station.

II. ; towards the west by the summit of the range, and thence by a leading spur to a point on the River Cobb about one mile from the junction of same with the River Takaka ; towards the south by the River Cobb ; and towards the east by the River Takaka to the south-western boundary of Section No. 3, Block XI., Takaka District ; and thence to the point of commencement.
