Rough mountain-slopes, heavily timbered ; bush principally birch. Access by roads up the Rivers Clark and Skeet, and proposed tracks up other streams. Distance from Post-office, Baton River, about two miles.

Also all that block of land, containing approximately 10,400 acres, being portions of Blocks IV., V., VI., IX., and X., Pakawau Survey District. Bounded towards the north and north-west partly by Pakawau Creek, partly by track leading from Pakawau to West Wanganui, partly by surveyed sections, and partly by West Wanganui Inlet ; towards the south-west partly by Section No. 1, Square No. 17, partly by Crown lands, and partly by Section No. 5, Block XIII., Pakawau District ; and towards the south-east and east partly by surveyed sections and partly by a block of second-class lands, as described in a Proclamation dated the 17th September, 1890.

Very rough broken ranges, mostly covered with heavy bush ; access principally by the road between Pakawau Inlet and West Wanganui Inlet.

Also the unsurveyed portions of Blocks III., IV., VII., VIII., XI., and XII., lying to the eastward of the River Takaka, Takaka Survey District ; also Crown lands lying between surveyed sections and the summit of the range (between Riwaka and Takaka), in Blocks XV. and XVI. of the same district. Approximate area, 9,500 acres. Very rough broken mountain-slopes, covered with birch bush. Access by tracks proposed from Rameka Creek, through Canaan, to Stockyard, Riwaka Ranges, and by main road, Riwaka to Takaka.

Also the unsurveyed portions of Blocks XIII., XIV., and XV., Kaiteriteri District. Approximate area, 4,490 acres.

Very rough broken mountain-slopes, covered with birch bush. Access by Riwaka–Takaka Road and proposed roads up the Riwaka Valley.

Also the unsurveyed portions of Block I., Motueka District. Approximate area, 5,800 acres. Rough mountain-slopes ; birch bush. Access by Brooklyn Track, over ranges into Riwaka Valley.

Also all that block of land, containing about 950 acres, in Block XII., Waimea Survey District, bounded towards the north-east by a line bearing 150° from the junction of United Creek with the River Roding to Section 2, Block XII., Waimea Survey District ; towards the south-east by Sections 2 and 1, Block XII., of the said district ; towards the south-west by Section 7, Block XII., of the said district ; and towards the north-west partly by Sections 9 and 1, Block XII., of the said district, partly by a public road, and partly by the Roding River.

All hilly, and nearly all covered with bush, chiefly birch, with a little rata. Accessible by a dray-road up to the Roding River, and distant about ten miles from the Hope Railway-station.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

UNSURVEYED SECOND-CLASS LIGHT-BUSH LAND.

All that block of land, containing 4,950 acres, more or less, situated in the Takaka Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a line drawn from the western corner of Section No. 3, Block XI., Takaka District, to Sub-trig. II. ; towards the west by the summit of the range, and thence by a leading spur to a point on the River Cobb about one mile from the junction of same with the River Takaka ; towards the south by the River Cobb ; and towards the east by the River Takaka to the south-western boundary of Section No. 3, Block XI., Takaka District ; and thence to the point of commencement.

Cash price, 7s. per acre ; occupation with right of purchase, rent, 4·2d. per acre per annum ; lease in perpetuity, rent, 3·36d. per acre per annum.

Also all that block of land, containing approximately 1,096 acres, being the unsurveyed portions of Blocks II. and III., Wangamoa Survey District, excepting Prospecting License No. 456, held by W. Stewart Balfour.
