WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 81 acres 1 rood 32 perches, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block XIV., Ngamatea Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 2, Block XIV., Ngamatea Survey District, by Te Hue Road, and again by the said Section No. 2; towards the east by Stock Road and Rurutahi Road; towards the south by the said Rurutahi Road; and towards the west by Section No. 3 of Block XIV. aforesaid. For a forest reserve.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 32 acres 1 rood 8 perches, more or less, being Section No. 14, Block XV., Ngamatea Survey District. Bounded towards the north, east, and south by the road reserve along the right bank of the Wangaehu River, and towards the west by scenic reserve 3 chains wide running parallel to and 1 chain distant from the right bank of the Wangaehu River. For the preservation of scenery.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,169 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 10, Block II., Mangawhero Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 9, Block II., Mangawhero Survey District; towards the east by a public road; towards the south by Section No. 1 of Block VII., by Section No. 4 of Block VI., and by Subdivision No. 1B of the Pukewhakapu Block of the said Block II., all of the Mangawhero Survey District; and towards the west by Subdivision No. 3B of the said Pukewhakapu Block of Block II., Mangawhero Survey District aforesaid. For a forest reserve.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 11, Block II., Mangawhero Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the Mangawhero–Murimotu Road; towards the east by the said Mangawhero–Murimotu Road and Subdivision No. 3B, Pukewhakapu Block, of Block II., Mangawhero Survey District; towards the south by the left bank of the Mangawhero River; and towards the west by Subdivision No. 2B of Pukewhakapu Block of the said Block II., Mangawhero Survey District. For the preservation of scenery.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 105 acres, more or less, being Section No. 4, Block III., Mangawhero Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east generally by the Rurutahi Road; towards the south east by Section No. 9 of Block III., Mangawhero Survey District; towards the south-west by Subdivision No. 4B, Maraetaua Block, of Block II., Mangawhero Survey District; and towards the north-west by the said Subdivision No. 4B of the said Block II., and by Section No. 3 of Block XIV., Ngamatea Survey District. For a forest reserve.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 17 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block III., Mangawhero Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 9 of Block III., Mangawhero Survey District; towards the east by Rurutahi Road; towards the south by Section No. 3 of the said Block III.; and towards the west by a public road. For a resting-place for travelling stock.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Marlborough Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the second column of the Schedule hereto from that named in the first column of the said Schedule to that named in the third column of the said Schedule respectively.
