Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf. His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the closing of the parts of the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Declaring Road through Forest Reserve, Block CII., Pohangina County, a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of August, 1904.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a Government road.

Extending Time for Publication of Result of Poll, Borough of Hawera.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of August, 1904.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS a correct notice of the result of poll taken upon a proposal that the provisions of “The Rating on Unimproved Value Act, 1896.” should be adopted in the Borough of Hawera was not published in the Gazette, or in a newspaper circulating in the said borough, within the time required by the said Act, and it is expedient to extend the time for the publication thereof: And whereas such correct notice was published in the Gazette on the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and four, and in the Hawera and Normanby Star on the nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and four, and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Rating Act, 1894,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time for publishing the said correct notice of the result of such poll until the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and four; and doth also hereby validate the publication of the said corrected notice in the Gazette of the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and four, and in the Hawera and Normanby Star of the nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and four, as aforesaid, and declare that the same shall be as effectual as if the said notice had been duly and correctly published within the time required by the said Act.

Trustee for Te Aroha Public Cemetery appointed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

RALPH LAKE SOMERS

to be a Trustee, in the place of George Lipsey, to provide for the maintenance and care of Te Aroha Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and four.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 7, Block I., Piriaka Township. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 13, Block I., Piriaka Township; towards the east by Section No. 8 of said Block I.; towards the south by Tanoa Street of said township; and towards the west by Section No. 6 of said Block I.: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 49067A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured purple. For primary education.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 14 perches, more or less, being Section No. 13, Block I., Piriaka Township. Bounded towards the north-east by Matawhero Terrace, Piriaka Township; towards the south-east by Section No. 14, Block I., of said township; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 7 and 6 of said Block I.; and towards the north-west by Section No. 12 of Block I. aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 49067A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For a municipal reserve.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 8 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block II., Piriaka Township. Bounded towards the north-west and north east by Tanoa Street, Piriaka Township; towards the south-east by Section No 2,
