Land in the Ngaiire Survey District taken for the Purposes of a Rifle Range at Stratford.

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Act, 1903,” for the purposes of a rifle range at or near Stratford:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Act, 1903,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a rifle range as aforesaid; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and four.

SCHEDULE.

The parcels of land mentioned hereunder:—

All in the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 20951, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured as above.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four.

Proclaiming Roads as closed through Land in Waikiekie and Tauraroa Parishes, Tangihua and Matakoe Survey Districts, Waikiekie Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed the road in Tangihua and Matakoe Survey Districts hereinafter described.

SCHEDULE.

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four.

Consenting to closing Road, Parish of Waitara, Pollock Settlement Road District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of August, 1904.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Pollock Settlement Road Board has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Pollock Settlement Road Board closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
