FOURTH PT. LT.—AMENDED NOTICE.—This lt. (6° 4′ S., 105° 53′ E.), W. coast of Java, Sunda Strait, has been altered from f. white to a fl. white lt. every 15 secs.—fl. 5 secs., ecl. 10 secs. June.

Sunken Wrecks.
BANKA STRAIT.—On 11th May, a prauw, mast with a disting. mark proj., in 3½ fms., in approx. 2° 4½′ S., 105° 9¾′ E, in Muntok Road, with the pier head N. 6° E. 3¼ cables, and Kalian Lt.-h. S. 82° W. June.
SUNDA STRAIT.—On 9th March, a wrk., one mast proj., in 5° 53′ S., 105° 54′ E., on Winsor Rk. May.
AUSTRALIA.
BASS STRAIT.—On 1st Oct., 1904, the colour of Cliffy Isl. lt. (fl. every 12 secs.), in 38° 57′ S., 146° 42½′ E., is to be altered from red to white, but in other respects it will remain as before. June.
NEW ZEALAND.
Admiralty charts that have received large corrections: No. 1423, New Zealand, North Island, Port Nicholson; April. No. 2411, New Zealand, South Island, Otago Harbour from the entr. to Dunedin; May.
PACIFIC OCEAN.
New Guinea.
MUSAURI (MEOSAURI) ISLS.—A reef, about 4 miles long nly. and sly., and 3 miles broad, with a depth obtained of 8 fms., but there are appar. patches of less water, exists in approx. 1° 50′ S., 134° 48′ E., about 9 miles nrd. of the isls., with Swandei Isl. N. 28° E. 22 miles, and S.E. extr. of Musnum (Meosnum) N. 56° E. May.
Admiralty charts that have received large corrections: No. 329, S. Pacific, Solomon Isls., Bougainville Strait; plan Shortland Harb. added; April.
NORTH AMERICA.—WEST COAST.
California.
Lt.-v. No. 70 is replaced on her station and the lt.-buoy exh. a f. white lt. has been withdrawn. June.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand passed in the forty-fourth year of the reign of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria, and intituled “The Marriage Act, 1880,” the following names of Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information:—
The Methodist Church of Australasia in New Zealand.

The Lutheran Church (German Evangelical).
The Reverend Albert H. Teyler.

Regulation under “The Law Practitioners Act, 1882.”
BY virtue of the powers vested in us by law, it is ordered by us, the Judges of the Supreme Court, that the following shall be a rule and regulation under “The Law Practitioners Act, 1882,” in addition to the rules and regulations now in force under that Act; and that such rule and regulation shall come into force immediately:—
(1.) Every candidate for admission as a solicitor who shall prove to the satisfaction of a Judge of the Supreme Court that he had prior to the 1st day of August in the year 1900 passed the New Zealand Senior Civil Service Examination (including Latin as a subject), and who has passed or shall prior to the 1st day of August in the year 1906 have passed the examination in law prescribed for candidates for admission as solicitors, and who shall apply for admission before the said 1st day of August, 1906, or within six calendar months thereafter, shall be excused from passing the examination in general knowledge prescribed for candidates for admission as solicitors by the 15th of the rules and regulations made under the said Act, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 26th day of June, 1900.
