Section 4, open land; light soil; half undulating, half broken land; fair to medium quality. Section 5, about 8 acres bush, balance fern and tea-tree; land broken. Section 6, Block V., and Section 3, Block VI., comprise about 160 acres forest, balance open land and hilly; light soil. All these lands are well watered by swamp and river, and are situated about eighteen miles from Kihikihi.

Rural Lands in the Taranaki Land District open for Sale or Selection.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-six of “The Land Act, 1892,” and section two of “The Bush and Swamp Crown Lands Settlement Act, 1903,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare and provide as follows, that is to say,—

The rural lands enumerated in the Schedules hereto are hereby set apart for disposal by way of selection on and after the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and four, at the rentals specified in the said Schedules.

The said lands may be selected on lease in perpetuity only, as provided by section one hundred and twenty-one of “The Land Act, 1892,” as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone, and shall not be purchased for cash.

For the purposes of “The Bush and Swamp Crown Lands Settlement Act, 1903,” the lands enumerated in the First Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be “heavy-bush
