Districts constituted under “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875.”

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Awitu, Pukekohe, and Rangiriri Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Awitu, Pukekohe, and Rangiriri Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four.

Districts constituted under “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Awitu, Pukekohe, and Rangiriri Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follow:—

AWITU DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-east generally by the waters of the Manukau Harbour from the entrance of the Manukau Harbour to the south-western boundary-line of the Karaka Parish; thence towards the east generally by the Karaka, Pukekohe, and Puni Parishes to the Waikato River; thence by the production of the western boundary-line of the last-mentioned parish to the left bank of the Waikato River; thence towards the south-east by the left bank of the said Waikato River to the sea; and thence towards the south-west by the sea to the entrance of Manukau Harbour, the place of commencement.

PUKEKOHE DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the northern boundary-lines of the Parishes of Puni, Pukekohe, Mangatawhiri, and Koheroa respectively from the Mauku River to the Mangatangi River; thence towards the south-east generally by the said Mangatangi River to its confluence with the Maramarua River; thence by the said Maramarua River to its confluence with the Whangamarino River; thence by the said Whangamarino River to its confluence with the Waikato River; thence by a line due west across the said Waikato River; thence towards the east generally by the left bank of that river to the mouth of the Opuatia Stream; thence by the said Opuatia Stream to the northern boundary-line of Section No. 8, Parish of Opuatia; thence towards the south generally by the said Section No. 8 to the Opuatia Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Mangatea Stream; thence by the Mangatea Stream to the northern boundary of Whangape Parish; thence by the said northern boundary to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 104, Whangape Parish, in Block XIV., Onewhero Survey District; thence by the eastern and southern boundary-lines of that section and the southern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 108, 103, and 106, Whangape Parish aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line running due west to the sea; thence towards the north-west by the sea to the mouth of the Waikato River; thence by the said Waikato River to a point in line with the western boundary-line of the Parish of Puni; thence towards the west generally by a right line to the said western boundary-line; and thence by the western boundary-line of the said Parish of Puni to the place of commencement.

RANGIRIRI DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north by a right line being the production in a westerly direction of the southern boundary-line of Section No. 106, Whangape Parish, in Block XIII., Onewhero Survey District, from the sea to the south-western corner of

ERRATUM.—In the Order in Council published in New Zealand Gazette No. 95, of the 17th December, 1903, page 2611, delegating powers to the Omaka Domain Board under “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” for “Frederick Robert Charles Riddle” read “Robert Frederick Charles Priddle.”
