GEORGE WALKER and ARTHUR HERBERT WILLIAM BAUCKE, who have carried on the Crown Carriage Works at Pahiatua as partners under the style of “Geo. Walker and Co.,” hereby give notice that the partnership is dissolved as from the 28th May, 1904, and the said business will be in future carried on by Arthur Herbert William Baucke.

The business will in future be carried on by R. H. Miliken, and all moneys owing to the late firm will be received by him, and be paid by R. H. Miliken.

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.
In the matter of “The Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1875,” and Amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board held on the 25th day of May, 1904, at the office of the Board, Hereford Street, Christchurch, the said Board, for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a sedimentation tank in connection with the sewerage system of the District of Christchurch, adopted resolutions to borrow, by way of special loan, for a period of twenty-five years, the sum of £7,000, at the rate of interest of 4½ per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and on the 31st day of December in each and every year, by the issue of 140 debentures for the sum of £50 (fifty pounds) each, repayable on the 30th day of June, 1929; and, for the purpose of securing the repayment of the said loan, and providing for the payment of interest in respect thereof, to appropriate and pledge a special annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan of one sixty-fourth part of a penny in the pound, to be made and levied upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised within that part of the Christchurch Drainage District commonly called the “sewage area,” as now constituted and defined, or as the same may from time to time hereafter be constituted and defined by the said Board, pursuant to the powers and authorities conferred upon it by “The Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1875,” and amendments; such rate to be payable at the office of the Christchurch City Council, in the City of Christchurch, by half-yearly instalments on the 5th day of June and the 5th day of December in each and every year; the first of such payments to be made on the 5th day of December, 1904.
And notice is hereby further given that a meeting of the said Board will be held at the office of the said Board, in Hereford Street, Christchurch, on the 23rd day of June, 1904, at 3 o’clock p.m., when the said resolutions will be submitted for confirmation as a special order, and that the special order will take effect immediately upon such confirmation.

THE following is the Scale of Charges fixed by the Oamaru Borough Council to be paid for the slaughtering of animals at the Abattoir of the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Oamaru, situate at Eveline, near the said borough, which said abattoir has been registered as the abattoir within the meaning of “The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900,” for the said borough:—

Buck), Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, University of New Zealand, and now residing in Dunedin, do hereby give notice that I intend to apply, on the 24th day of June, 1904, to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Colony of New Zealand. and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification at the office of the Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages.

I, WALTER HISLOP, Manager of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare—
- That the liability of members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £106,250, divided into 25,000 shares of £4 5s.
- That the number of shares issued is 21,669.
- That calls to the amount of 7s. 6d. per share have been made, under which the sum of £8,125 17s. 6d. has been received.
- That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates under administration during the half-year ending 30th day of April, 1904, is £59,527 18s. 5d.
- That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates under administration during the half-year ending 30th day of April, 1904, is £55,406 10s. 5d.
- That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration during the half-year ending 30th day of April, 1904, is £6,464 14s. 9d.
- That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day of May last were debts owing to sundry persons by the company. viz.: On judgment, nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £14,224 4s. 3d.; on estimated liabilities, nil.
- That the assets of the company on that date were: Government securities, £2,500; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; other securities, £16,145 12s. 7d.; cash at banker’s and on deposit, £9,020 14s. 3d.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”
