IN pursuance of regulations under “The Civil Service Examination Act, 1900,” notice is hereby given that the next Civil Service Junior Examination will be held in December, 1904, beginning about the 12th day of the month. Applications to be examined will be received at the office of the Inspector-General of Schools up to the 30th day of September, 1904, or, with a late fee of £1 in addition to the ordinary fee, up to the 15th day of October, 1904.

Junior National Scholarships and Free Places in Secondary Schools.

IN pursuance of “The National Scholarships Act, 1903,” and of “The Secondary Schools Act, 1903,” notice is hereby given that an examination for Junior National Scholarships and for Free Places in Secondary Schools will be held in December, 1904, beginning about the middle of the month. Candidates’ applications to be examined must be forwarded by their teachers to the Inspector-General of Schools at Wellington so as to be delivered at his office not later than the 30th September, 1904.

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election to administer the several intestate estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far as known, are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land containing 1 acre, more or less, and being Section No. 42 in the Township of Okato and Provincial District of Taranaki, situate on the north side of Cumming Street. It adjoins property owned by J. S. Fox. The grantee is Peter Gilligan, described as a private in the Taranaki Military Settlers.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
