deceased, and to empower the Colonial Treasurer to pay out
of the Consolidated Fund of the Colony of New Zealand
an annual subsidy to the local body or persons having the
management and control of the institution known as “The
Old Men’s Home, Ashburton,” of 10s. in the pound up to
£500 in each year for each pound annually received for
the benefit of the said institution from the trustees of
Stephen Cole Moule’s estate, and authorising and direct-
ing the trustees of the said estate to pay the residue and
remainder of the net annual income derived from the said
estate to the local body or persons for the time being having
the management and control of the said institution, whether
a subsidy be paid by the Colonial Treasurer or not.

A copy of the said proposed Bill will be deposited in the
Examiner’s Office at Wellington on or before the twenty-
sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and four.

NOTICE.

In the matter of a Bill intituled “An Act to enable the Wai-
pori Falls Electric Power Company (Limited) to supply
and use Electrical Energy for Lighting, Power, Heat, and
other Purposes within the City of Dunedin and the
Boroughs, Counties, and Districts adjacent thereto.”

[NOTE.—The area of supply is comprehended as in-
cluding the Counties of Taieri, Bruce, Tuapeka, and
Waikouaiti, the City of Dunedin, the Boroughs of Milton,
Mosgiel, Green Island, Caversham, South Dunedin, St.
Kilda, Mornington, Roslyn, Maori Hill, North-east Valley,
West Harbour, and Port Chalmers, and the Road Dis-
tricts of Peninsula, Tomahawk, and Portobello, all in the
Provincial District of Otago.]

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipori Falls Electric
Power Company (Limited) (hereinafter called “the
company”) intends to present a petition to the General
Assembly of New Zealand at the ensuing session thereof
praying for leave to introduce a Bill to be intituled “An
Act to enable the Waipori Falls Electric Power Company
(Limited) to supply and use Electrical Energy for Lighting,
Power, Heat, and other Purposes within the City of
Dunedin, and the Boroughs, Counties, and Districts ad-
jacent thereto.”

The objects of the Bill are:—

  1. To authorise the company to supply and use electrical
    energy within the Counties of Taieri, Bruce, Tuapeka,
    and Waikouaiti, the City of Dunedin, the Boroughs of
    Milton, Mosgiel, Green Island, Caversham, South Dunedin,
    St. Kilda, Mornington, Roslyn, Maori Hill, North-east
    Valley, West Harbour, and Port Chalmers, and the Road
    Districts of Peninsula, Tomahawk, and Portobello, and to
    undertake all works necessary for that purpose.

  2. To enable the company to enter upon any lands within
    the area of supply as defined by the said Bill, and to
    undertake or carry out certain works thereon.

  3. To provide for compensating owners of land entered
    upon by the company to carry out any works authorised by
    the Act.

  4. To confer upon the company power, subject to the con-
    sent of the Governor in Council, to make by-laws for the
    proper management of its business.

  5. To declare that judicial notice shall be taken of any
    by-law sealed with the seal of the company.

  6. To define the area of supply and use of electrical energy
    by the company.

  7. To limit the time within which the company shall pro-
    ceed to erect its plant to six months, and the time within
    which the supply of electrical energy to consumers shall com-
    mence to one year from the coming into force of this Act.

Copies of the said Bill will be deposited at the office of the
Examiner of Standing Orders on or before the thirteenth
day after the commencement of the session.

Dated at Dunedin, this seventh day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and four.

(IN LIQUIDATION).

NOTICE is hereby given that the situation and locality
of the office of the Talisman Consolidated (Limited),
(in liquidation), has been changed from Nos. 26, 27, and 28,
Palmerston Buildings, Queen Street, in the City of Auck-
land, in the Provincial District of Auckland and Colony of
New Zealand, to the Mine Office, at Karangahake, in the said
provincial district.

INVERCARGILL DAIRY SUPPLY COMPANY
(LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary meeting of shareholders held on
Tuesday, the 3rd day of May, the following extra-
ordinary resolution was carried unanimously:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meet-
ing that the Invercargill Dairy Supply Company (Limited)
cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and
that it is advisable to wind up the same.”

The following resolution was also carried :—

“That George Featherstone, of Invercargill, be appointed
Liquidator.”

Vesting in the Church Property Trustees, Canterbury, of
certain Reserves, being Part of the Christchurch Town
Reserves, as a Local Endowment within the Meaning of
Part IV. of ‘The Church Property Trust (Canterbury)
Act, 1879.’”

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of
the Standing Orders of the General Assembly of
New Zealand relating to private Bills, that application will
be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand in Par-
liament assembled, at its next session, on behalf of the
Church Property Trustees for leave to introduce a Bill, to
be called “The Church Reserves (Canterbury) Act, 1904.”
The objects of the said proposed Bill are to enable the
Church Property Trustees, to hold the undermentioned
reserves in the City of Christchurch as a local endowment
within the meaning of Part IV. of “The Church Property
Trust (Canterbury) Act, 1879,” freed from liability to revert
to the Crown, as indicated by deed of grant of the same
dated the 13th day of April, 1876.

No. 1.—Three acres. Bounded on the north by the Town
Belt, on the south by Lot 152, on the east by unsold por-
tions of the Town Reserves, and on the west by Manchester
Street North.

No. 2.—Three acres. Bounded on the north by Lot 13,
on the east by Lot 18, on the south by the Town Belt, and
on the west by a road leading from the Lincoln Road to the
Town Belt.

A copy of the said proposed Bill with be deposited at the
Examiner’s Office, Wellington, on or before the 1st day of
June, 1904.
