Vesting a Reserve in the Golden Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association.
RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day of May, 1904.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for an agricultural and pastoral society's showground:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Golden Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Golden Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association, in trust, for a showground.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 70 acres and 18 perches, more or less, being parts 2 and 3 of Section No. 113 (Takaka), Block X., Waitapu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 2036·14 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 3318·8 links; towards the south-west by parts 1 and 4 respectively of Section No. 113, 2238·8 links; and towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 107 and 106 respectively, 3218·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 28061, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Directing Sale of Land under “The Public Works Act, 1894.”

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day of May, 1904.

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twenty-ninth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or provincial Ordinance, or otherwise however, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor may, by Order in Council publicly notified or gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act: And whereas a memorial has been laid before the Governor by the Masterton Borough Council, accompanied by a map, setting forth that certain land was acquired by the Masterton Borough Council for drainage-works—namely, part of the Kohutu and Pokohiwi Blocks, Block I., Otahoua Survey District, Masterton County: And whereas the portion of the said land described in the Schedule hereto is not now required by the said Borough Council for drainage-works or otherwise, and the said Council desired to sell the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Validating the Public Notifications for a Loan of £4,000 to form and metal Portions of the Tuakau–Raglan Road, under Section 10 of “The Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act, 1902,” applied for by the Raglan County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day of May, 1904.

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Raglan County Council lately proposed to raise a loan of four thousand pounds for the purpose of forming and metalling portions of the Tuakau–Raglan Road: And whereas a special order making a special rate has been made as security for the said loan: And whereas the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-four of “The Counties Act, 1886,” relating to special orders, were not complied with by the said Raglan County Council, inasmuch as public notice of the meeting for the purpose of confirming the resolution adopting such special order, although published for four successive weeks, was not given once in each of the four weeks immediately after the date at which such resolution was passed: And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled, and it is expedient to validate such irregularity:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by section ten of “The Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act, 1902,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the said special order shall be deemed and taken to be as valid to all intents and purposes as though the same had been regular in form, and doth hereby declare that the proceedings relative to the said loan shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Permits granted by Occupier to kill Game on his Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eleventh day of May, 1904.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Animals Protection Amendment Act, 1903,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulations respecting the mode of registering and recording appointments made under section four of the said Act, namely,—
REGULATIONS.

Whenever a person in bonâ fide occupation of any land appoints one other person to take or kill game upon such land such appointment shall be in writing, in the form or to the effect set forth in the Schedule hereto: Provided, however, that no person so appointed shall take or kill any imported game or native game except in accordance with the Animals Protections Acts and any regulations or notifications made thereunder.

The original appointment shall be given to the appointee, who shall produce the same for inspection on the demand of any Ranger or other person authorised to require the production of licenses issued under the Animals Protection Acts.

A copy of every such appointment shall forthwith be forwarded by the person so appointed to the Secretary of the Acclimatisation Society for the district, and notice in writing of the revocation of any such appointment shall be forwarded to the said secretary by the person making such appointment within twenty-four hours after such revocation.

If any person fails to observe or commits a breach of any of the foregoing Regulations, he shall be liable on conviction to a penalty not exceeding forty shillings.
