All in the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above noted, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and four.

Declaring Part of Karetu Road, in Rangitikei County, to be a County Road.

RANFURLY, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day of May, 1904.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of the Karetu Road, in the Rangitikei County, described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the road in the Wellington Land District, situated in the Rangitikei County, and known as the Karetu Road, commencing at its junction with the Turakina Valley Road, and proceeding in an easterly direction along the frontage of Section 3, Block I., Tiriraukawa, terminating at a point within 3 chains of the eastern boundary of Section 6, Block V., Tiriraukawa, a distance of 74 chains, more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 4363, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, coloured red and marked A.A. thereon.

Declaring Road in Bay of Islands County to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day of May, 1904.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road in the Bay of Islands County described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.


SCHEDULE.

KAWAKAWA–NGAPIPITO ROAD.

ALL that road in the Auckland Land District known as the Kawakawa–Ngapipito Road, Bay of Islands County, commencing at its junction with the Great North Road in Section 140, Scoria Flat, Kawakawa Parish, Block XV., and extending in a south-westerly direction through Sections 152, 155, 162, &c., Block XV., through Native Land Blocks XIV. and XIII., Kawakawa Survey District, to Section 1, Block I.; thence through Sections 1, 2, 3, Block I., Motatau Survey District, to and terminating at the southern boundary of the aforesaid Section 3: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161x, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red and marked C.D.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, Rangitikei County.

RANFURLY, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day of May, 1904.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the rolls for the County of Rangitikei, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by “The Counties Act Amendment Act, 1903,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the rolls for ridings within the County of Rangitikei: Until the 23rd May, 1904.

  2. Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 28th May, 1904, to the 16th June, 1904.

  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 30th June, 1904.

  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 20th July, 1904.

  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 1st August, 1904.

Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road through Paramata No. 2, Uawa Survey District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day of May, 1904.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purpose of a road in Paramata No. 2, Uawa Survey District:

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the said road, and the said land vest in His Majesty the King as from the twenty-second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and four.
