Special Order made by the Manganui Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Manganui Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.

Special Order for raising 10 per Cent. on Ackland Road Loan of £800.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Manganui Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a further loan of £80, authorised to be raised by the Manganui Road Board under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, for the purpose of forming, grading, and metalling the Ackland Road from the Stanley Road to the Croydon Road, to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it, the said Manganui Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in the Ackland Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 51, Block X.; 6, 7, Block XI.; 55, Block XIV.; 20, Block XV., Huiroa Survey District: and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off: the rate of interest to be 5 per cent. per annum.

THE following special order, made by the Pahiatua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan 67.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Pahiatua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Pahiatua County Council under the above-named Act, to carry out the following works—viz., metalling the upper portion of the Kaitawa Road, commencing at the northern boundary of Section 15, Block I., Puketoi Survey District, to the Pori Road junction; metalling the Pori Road to the county boundary; widening the Mount Marchant track to a 14 ft. road from the present formation to about 3 chains below the southern boundary of the 3-acre reserve, No. 6; metalling the Mount Marchant Road from the Pori Junction to about 3 chains below the southern boundary of the 3-acre reserve, No. 6; metalling the Mount Butters Road from the Mount Marchant Road to the eastern boundary of Section 10, Block XIII., Makuri—the said Pahiatua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁹⁄₁₆d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Pori Special-rating District, comprising Sections 4, 5, 12, part 6, part 7, part 8, Block II., Puketoi Survey District; part 12, Block V., Puketoi Survey District; part 13, Sections 14, 7, 6, 15, 16, Block I., Puketoi Survey District; 2, 3, Block II., Puketoi Survey District; 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, Block XIII., Makuri Survey District; 1, part 9, part 10, Sections 31, 32, 33, 34, 37, 38, Block II., Puketoi Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, at 3½ per cent. per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and adopted at a special meeting of the Pahiatua County Council on 5th March, 1904, and confirmed on 9th April, 1904.

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan 64.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Pahiatua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £810, authorised to be raised by the Pahiatua County Council under the above-named Act (to supplement a Government grant), for the erection of a traffic-bridge over the Mangahao River at Marima, the said Pahiatua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁷⁄₁₆d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Marima Special-rating District, in the Mangahao Survey District, the said sections to be fully, half, or quarter rated, as detailed below: The sections to be rated on full valuation are—Sections part 21, part 13, part 8, part 11, Sections 10, 4, 5, 6, 22, 23, 24, 1, 3, 2, Block XIII.; 23, 25, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Block IX.; 1, 2, 57, 86, Block X.: the sections to be rated on half-valuation are—Sections 56, 59, 60, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 15, Block X.; Section 24, Block IX.: the sections to be rated on quarter-valuation are—Sections 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 7, 12, 13, 14, Lots 1 and 2 of 17, 21, 22, Block IX.; Section 12, Block X.: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, at 3½ per cent. per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution re Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Southland County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorised to be raised by the Southland County Council (as representing the Wyndham Road Board, now defunct by merger), under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of paying so much of the principal of a loan payable on the 4th day of May, 1904, as is not provided for by the accumulated sinking fund held for the payment thereof, and for the purpose of paying off and consolidating certain loans payable on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of April, 1905, and on the 1st day of April, 1907, all of which loans were raised by the Wyndham Road Board, but for which the said Southland County Council is now liable, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the district known before the merger thereof
