Declaring Road in Korokoro Village Settlement to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of April, 1904.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a Government road.

Declaring Roads in Rangitikei County to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of April, 1904.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.

SCHEDULE.

THAT road in the Wellington Land District, in the Rangitikei County, which gives access to Section 6, Block X., Ohinewairua Survey District, commencing at its junction with the Taihape-Paengaroa Road to the ford over the Hautapu River leading to the aforesaid section, a distance of 30·84 chains or thereabouts; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red and numbered 14.

Also that portion of the road in the Wellington Land District, in the County of Rangitikei, Block XIV., Ohinewairua Survey District, commencing at its junction with the Ohingaiti-Waiouru Road, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction through the Oraukura Improved-farm Settlement, fronting Sections 63, 64, 48, 49, and 47, to the western boundary of Section 53, a distance of 2 miles 3 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red and numbered 15.

Also that road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, known as the Pukenua Road, from its junction with the Taihape-Paengaroa Road, proceeding in a southerly and westerly direction through Awarua 4A 3c Block, along frontages of Sections 5, 7, 9 to the southern boundary of Section 9, Block XIII., Ohinewairua Survey District, a distance of 1 mile 50 chains or thereabouts; as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red and numbered 16.

Also that road in the Wellington Land District and County of Rangitikei known as the Mangaone-Mataroa Road, commencing at a point where it crosses the northern boundary of the Rangitikei County, and extends in a southerly direction along the frontages of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Block XVI., Maungakaretu Survey District, terminating at the crossing of the Opango Stream, about 51 chains south of the Rongoiti Road junction, being a total length of 2 miles 20 chains or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, coloured red thereon and numbered 19.

Also all that road in the Wellington Land District, in the Rangitikei County, known as Kaka Road, from its junction with the Ohingaiti-Waiouru Road, Taihape Township, proceeding generally in a westerly direction along frontages of Sections 27, 1, 2, 20, and 19, Block XIV., and Sections 13, 12, 11, Block XIII., to eastern boundary of Section 14, Block XIII., Ohinewairua Survey District, a distance of 2 miles 78 chains or thereabouts; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, coloured red thereon and numbered 21.

Also that road in the Wellington Land District, in the Rangitikei County, known as Kiwi Road, commencing at its junction with the Ohingaiti-Waiouru Road, at Taihape Township, and running generally in a westerly direction, crossing the railway and proceeding along frontages of Sections 23, 24, and 5, Block XIV., Ohinewairua Survey District, to its junction with the Ruru Road, a distance of 59 chains or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red and numbered 22.

Also that length of road in the Wellington Land District, in the County of Rangitikei, known as Ruru Road, commencing at its junction with the Kaka Road, proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction along frontages of Sections 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, Taihape Improved-farm Settlement, and Sections 16 and 17, Block XIV., Ohinewairua, and crossing the railway to its junction with the Taihape-Paengaroa Road, a distance of 1 mile 36½ chains or thereabouts; as the said piece of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red and numbered 23.

Also that part of the road known as the Kaweka Road, in the Wellington Land District, in the Rangitikei County, commencing at its junction with the Mangaweka-Te Kapua Road, and extending in a northerly direction for a distance of 1 mile 3 chains along the frontage of Section 15, Block V., Hautapu Survey District, to the end of the present dray-road formation at Section 14, Block V., Hautapu Survey District; as the said piece of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, coloured red thereon and numbered 24.

Also that portion of the road known as Creek Road, in the Wellington Land District, commencing at the Ohingaiti-Waiouru Road, and running for a distance of 31½ chains or thereabouts in a north-westerly direction to the end of the present dray-road formation, fronting Section 3, Block V., Hautapu Survey District; as the said piece of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, coloured red thereon and numbered 25.

Also all that road known as Mangapapa Road, in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, which commences at its junction with the Torere Road, and runs generally in a northerly direction along the frontages of Sections 3, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, Torere Village Settlement, and 29 and 30, Block III., Hautapu Survey District, a distance of 1 mile 10 chains or thereabouts, to the Mangapapa Creek; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red and numbered 26.

Also all that road in the Wellington Land District known as Gorge Road, commencing at its junction with the Wairano Road, and running in an easterly direction for a distance of 2 miles 54 chains or thereabouts through the Ohutu Improved-farm Settlement, fronting Sections 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, Block III., Hautapu Survey District, to its junction with the Puke and Puhiroa Roads; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161⁵, deposited in
