Road, commencing at its junction with the Makaranui
Road, and proceeding in a southerly direction along the
frontages of Sections 24A, 24B, 24C, and 22, Block VIII.,
Makotuku Survey District, to the southern boundary of
Section 21 and the junction of the Maungahouhou Road,
Block VIII., Makotuku Survey District, a distance of 1 mile
75 chains or thereabouts.

Declaring Roads in the County of Grey to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth
day of April, 1904.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the
roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after
the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that road in the Westland Land District, known as the
Poerua to Bell Hill Road, in the County of Grey, commenc-
ing from the Poerua Railway-station and proceeding in a
north-easterly direction to the southern boundary of Poerua
Settlement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
R. 5161M, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of
Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
thereon coloured red and marked A.B.

CROOKED RIVER ROAD.

Also all that road in the Westland Land District, known
as the Crooked River Road, in the County of Grey, com-
mencing from the junction of the Bell Hill Road, at the
north-eastern corner of school reserve, and proceeding thence
generally in a north-westerly direction to a point between
Sections 4 and 7, Block X., Tekinga Survey District: as the
same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161N, deposited
in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington,
in the Wellington Land District, thereon shown by a dotted
red line and marked C.D.

Also all that road in the Westland Land District, known
as the Bell Hill Road, in the County of Grey, commencing
from peg XLIV., at the south-eastern corner of Section 16,
Block XIV., and proceeding in a north-easterly direction to
the northernmost corner of Section 21, Block X., Tekinga
Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked R. 5161N, deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, thereon shown by a dotted red line and marked
E.F.

Declaring a Road in Waipapa Block, Kaikoura County, to
be a County Road.

Stream; from thence to George Stream (Harkaway Flat),
a distance of about 3 miles 10 chains: as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161o, de-
posited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, coloured red
and marked B.F. thereon.

Declaring Taihape–Otuarei Road, Hawke's Bay County, a
County Road.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him

that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on

ALL that portion of the road situate in the Wellington Land
District, in the County of Hawke's Bay, commencing at the
boundary of Sections 17, Block X., and 5, Block XI., Ohine-
wairua, and the intersection of the road and the boundary
of the county, and extending generally in an easterly direc-
tion to the eastern boundary of Section 8, Block XI., Ohine-
wairua, along the frontage of Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8 of that
block, being a distance of 1 mile 6 chains, or thereabouts; as
the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161², de-
posited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, coloured red
thereon and numbered 36.

Declaring the Mangaweka–Te Kapua Road, Rangitikei
County, to be a County Road.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare
that the road known as the Mangaweka–Te Kapua Road,
described in the Schedule hereto, shall, on and after the
date of this Order in Council, be a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the road in the Wellington Land Dis-
trict, situated in the Rangitikei County, and known as the
Mangaweka–Te Kapua Road, commencing at its junction
with the Ohingaiti–Waiouru Road, and proceeding in a
north-westerly direction along frontages of Sections 5, 4, 3,
2, and 10, Block IX., Hautapu, to a point where it crosses
the Makohine Stream, a distance of 4 miles 30 chains or
thereabouts: as the said road is more particularly de-
lineated on the plan marked R. 5161BB, deposited in the
office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and coloured red thereon and
marked AA.
