Consenting to closing Roads in Tuhikaramea Parish, Hamilton and Alexandra Survey Districts, Tuhikaramea Road District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of April, 1904.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Tuhikaramea Road Board has applied for such consent in respect to the roads described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Tuhikaramea Road Board closing the roads mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

All in the Auckland Land District: as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Declaring Roads, Waimarino County, to be County Roads.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that road known as the Pipipi Road, in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County, from its junction with the Raetihi–Ohura Road to the boundary between Sections 4 and 5, Block II., Makotuku Survey District, a distance of 47 chains or thereabouts.

Also that portion of the road known as the Raetihi–Ohura Road, in the Wellington Land District and Waimarino County, commencing at its junction with the Makotuku Valley Road, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction along frontages of Sections 15, 14, 13, and 6, Block II., Makotuku Survey District, to its junction with the Pipipi Road, a distance of 1 mile 74½ chains or thereabouts.

Also that portion of the road known as Ameku Ridge Road, in the Wellington Land District and Waimarino County, from its junction with the Pipiriki–Waiouru Road, and running generally in a north-westerly direction along frontages of Sections 5, 4, and 3, Block VI., Makotuku Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section 21, Block II., Makotuku Survey District, a distance of 2 miles 37 chains or thereabouts.

Also that road known as the School Road, in the Wellington Land District, in the Raetihi Township, Waimarino County, commencing at its junction with the Pipiriki–Waiouru Road, and running in a northerly direction along frontages of Sections 10, 11, 97, and 83, to its junction with the road on the southern boundary of Section 250, Raetihi Township, a distance of 11½ chains or thereabouts.

Also that portion of the Pipiriki–Waiouru Road, in the Wellington Land District, in the Waimarino County, Block VI., Makotuku Survey District, from the junction of the Ameku Ridge Road, and running in an easterly direction through the Township of Raetihi to the right bank of the Makotuku Stream, a distance of 71 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of the road in the Wellington Land District, in the Waimarino County, from its junction with the Pipiriki–Waiouru Road southwards along frontages of Sections 20, 42, 170, 171, 211, Raetihi Township, and Sections 22, 23, 24, Block VI., Makotuku Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section 6, Block X., Makotuku Survey District, a distance of 2 miles 18 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of Mangateitei Road, in the Wellington Land District, in the Waimarino County, commencing at its junction with the Pipiriki–Waiouru Road, and running in a north-easterly direction to a point about
