Result of Poll, Proposed Loan No. 64, Marima Bridge. THE following is the result of a poll taken on Saturday, 3rd December, 1904, on a proposal to raise a loan, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” of £810 (to supplement Government grant) for the erection of a traffic-bridge over the Mangahao River, at Marima:—
Number of voters on special roll, 40, representing 43 votes; number of voters who recorded their votes in favour of proposal, 21, representing 23 votes. No votes recorded against the proposal.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

MANAWATU LAND DRAINAGE BOARD.
Result of Poll.
In pursuance of the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” notice is hereby given that a poll was taken on the 24th November, 1904, on the proposal to borrow £5,500 for the purpose of constructing the Mangaone outlet at Awapuni and other works on the Mangaone Stream, and that such proposal was rejected.
Number of votes in favour of proposal, 96; number of votes against the proposal, 119 ; informal, 7.
I, Samuel Sanson, of Palmerston North, Chairman of the Manawatu Land Drainage Board, do solemnly and sincerely declare that all proceedings required by law to be taken in or towards obtaining the sanction of the electors to the proposal to borrow £5,500 for the purpose of constructing the Mangaone outlet at Awapuni and other works on the Mangaone Stream have been duly taken, and that the proposal has been rejected; and I make this solemn declaration
conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”
