NOTICE is hereby given that His Honour Mr. Justice Edwards has this day appointed
HECTOR MACDONALD, ESQ.,
of Melbourne, in Victoria, Solicitor, to be a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the purpose of administering and taking, in the State of Victoria, oaths, affidavits, and affirmations under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act.

TIMARU BOROUGH ABATTOIR.
THE following is the Scale of Charges to be paid for animals slaughtered at the Timaru Borough Council’s Abattoir at Belfield, near Timaru, which has been registered, under No. Ab. 15, as the abattoir within the meaning of “The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900,” for the Borough of Timaru:—

BOROUGH OF WANGANUI.
“RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE ACT, 1896.”
I HEREBY notify that on the 17th day of December, 1903, a vote of the ratepayers of the Borough of Wanganui was taken on a proposal to adopt “The Rating on Unimproved Value Act, 1896,” and that henceforth property be rated on the basis of the unimproved value thereof. I hereby declare that the following numbers of votes were given for and against the said proposal, viz.:—

Informal .. .. .. 2
and that the proposal was rejected.

WAIUKU AND ONEHUNGA STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION).
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of “The Companies Act, 1903,” that a General Meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the Road Board’s office, Waiuku, in the Provincial District of Auckland, New Zealand, on Friday, the 22nd day of January, 1904, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator thereof, shall be disposed of.

THE following resolutions were passed at a general meeting of shareholders held on 11th December, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting:—
“That the company, having realised on its buildings, stock, and machinery, do now resolve to cease operations and to divide its capital among the shareholders, making a first payment of 2s. per share this day.”
“That for this purpose the Secretary, Mr. O. R. Younghusband, be appointed Liquidator, his remuneration for same to be fixed by the directors.”
