Lands temporarily reserved in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Hawke’s Bay Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,056 acres, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block IX., Nuhaka North Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the Mangapahi Road, towards the east by Sections Nos. 2 and 4, towards the south by Section No. 3, and towards the west by the Mangapoike A No. 2 Block: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51507, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For primary education.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,167 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 3, Block VIII., and 2, Block XII., Hikurangi Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Forest Reserve and Section No. 2, Block VIII., Hikurangi Survey District; towards the east by Section No. 2 aforesaid and the Te Roto Stream; towards the south by a road reserve; and towards the south-west by the Manga-o-Ahiroa Stream, which forms the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 3, Block XII., and Section No. 4, Block VIII., of said district: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51507A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For primary education.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 73 acres 3 roods 23 perches, more or less, being Section No. 7, Block IV., Mangaoporo Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the Wharekirauponga No. 2 B Block, towards the south-east by the Okurawahea No. 1 Block and by the Wharekirauponga No. 1 Block, and towards the south-west by the Poroporo Block: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51507B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For primary education.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 494 acres, more or less, being Section No. 3, Block XIII., Ngatapa Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the Motuera Road, towards the east by Section No. 1, towards the south by Small Grazing-run No. 76, and towards the west by Tahora No. 2c2 Section No. 2: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51507C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For primary education.

For a quarry.

For railway purposes.
