Land temporarily reserved in the Westland Land District.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Westland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 19 perches, more or less, being Section No. 356, Block V., Kanieri Survey District. Bounded by a line commencing at peg No. 5, on the north side of a public road, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction along said line, bearing N. 10° 40′ E. 1030·1 links to peg No. 4; thence in a south-easterly direction along a line bearing S. 56° 2′ E. 765·5 links to peg No. 3; thence in a south-westerly direction along a line bearing S. 15° 2′ W. 464 links to peg No. 2 on public road aforesaid; and thence again in a south-westerly direction along aforesaid public road bearing S. 79° 2′ W. 718·2 links to peg No. 5 aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 49070, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged red. For a recreation reserve.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and three.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 3 and 10, Block VI., Kawhia Township. Bounded towards the north by Powewe Street; towards the east by Sections Nos. 11 and 2 of said Block VI.; towards the south by Tainui Street; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 4 and 9 of said Block VI.: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51174, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For public-school purposes.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and three.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Section No. 43, Block XV., Invercargill Hundred. Bounded towards the north by a public road; towards the east by Section No. 44; towards the south by a public road; and towards the west by Section No. 42, excepting a public road 100 links wide intersecting the said section: be the aforesaid linkage more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51378, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For a reserve for railway purposes.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 46 and 71, Block XV., Invercargill Hundred. Bounded towards the north, east, and south by public roads, and towards the west by Sections Nos. 70 and 47: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51378, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red. For a reserve for railway purposes.

Rural Land in Auckland Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and after the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and three; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may be selected on lease in perpetuity only, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-one of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metals, minerals, or valuable stone; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” and “The Mining Act, 1898,” and amendments.

Weighted with £20 valuation for fencing and grassing. Broken pastoral land; chiefly mixed bush, with some open fern country; soil very fair away from coast; watered by the Wairotoroto Stream. Access by main coast road; about five miles from Tapu.
