Lands taken for a Road in Block VII., Ikitara Survey District, Wanganui County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, for the purposes of a road in Ikitara Survey District:
And whereas the Wanganui County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.

Closing Portion of a Government Road in Orieri Survey District, Sounds County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection three, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof: And whereas that portion of the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purposes of a road:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Orieri Survey District hereinafter described.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the blocks of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for special improved-farm settlement.
SCHEDULE.
TAPUI IMPROVED-FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,438 acres, more or less, being part of the Waimarino Block, situated in Blocks I. and II., Piopiotea Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the Wanganui River and the Main Trunk Railway-line; towards the east by Crown land; towards the south by Crown land; and towards the west by the land set apart as a public domain under “The Wanganui River Trust Act, 1891.”
Also that area of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 600 acres, more or less, being part of the Waimarino Block, situated in Block V., Piopiotea Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the Makokomiko Road; towards the east by Crown land; towards the south-west by Crown land; and towards the north-west by the Makokomiko Road.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51235, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.
