BOROUGH OF GREY LYNN.
SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” section 16, public notice is hereby given of the following resolutions (two), passed at a special meeting of the Grey Lynn Borough Council held on Monday, the 21st day of September, 1903, and confirmed at a special meeting held on Monday, 26th day of October, 1903:—
No. 1. “That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000, authorised to be raised by the Grey Lynn Borough Council under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the carrying-out of the grading, levelling, formation, metalling, kerbing and channelling, and drainage of streets or roads within the limits of or bounding of the said borough, the said Grey Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Grey Lynn; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
No. 2. “That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Grey Lynn Borough Council under the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,’ for the payment of overdraft in the Bank of New Zealand, Newton, the said Grey Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Grey Lynn; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of March and September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1894,” FOR ROADS.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Hutt County Council to take for the purposes of public roads the following lands, situate in Block II., Rimutaka Survey District, viz.:—

A plan showing the land required to be taken is deposited at the Post-office, Wallaceville, where it may be inspected by all persons during business hours.
All persons affected are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the making of such roads or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty days from the day of the date hereof to the Hutt County Council.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership which has for some time past been carried on by THOMAS HUNT, WILLIAM RAYMOND HUNT, GEORGE HUNT, and ALBERT HUNT, under the firm of “Hunt Bros.,” at Wakefield, in the Provincial District of Nelson, in the business of Butchers, Farmers, and Sheep-breeders, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of September, 1903.

In the matter of the Peninsula Ferry Company (Limited).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at the company’s registered office, No. 1, Bond Street, Dunedin, on the 12th day of October, 1903, the following special resolutions were duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company, also duly convened, and held at the same place on the 28th day of October, 1903, the following resolutions were duly confirmed, viz.:—

That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments.

That a Liquidator be appointed for the purpose of such winding-up.
And at such last-mentioned meeting DAVID LARNACH, of Dunedin, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up.
