Prohibiting the Importation of Swine from the State of South Australia.—Notice No. 823.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, 1903.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Stock Act, 1893” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby absolutely prohibit the importation or introduction into the Colony of New Zealand of any swine (as defined by the said Act) from the State of South Australia; and doth hereby declare that the regulations made under the said Act by Order in Council dated the fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, and all subsequent regulations made under the said Act, shall be read and construed subject to the provisions hereof. And His Excellency doth hereby further declare that this Order in Council shall come into force and take effect from the date of the gazetting hereof.

Consenting to closing Roads in Hunua Road District.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1903.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:
And whereas the Hunua Road Board has applied for such consent in respect to the roads described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Hunua Road Board closing the roads mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Setting apart Reserve under “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1903.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor in Council is authorised under the said Act to set apart any specified area of Crown lands within a kauri-gum district to be a kauri-gum reserve under the said Act:
And whereas it is expedient to create and set apart the kauri-gum reserve hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a kauri-gum reserve, with the name set over the description of such reserve in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
HOBSON COUNTY.
Te Kopuru No. 5 Kauri-gum Reserve: 694 acres 1 rood 31 perches. For Te Kopuru Settlement.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 694 acres 1 rood 31 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 123, 124, 125, and 138 of the Parish of Kopuru. Bounded towards the east generally by Sections Nos. 44 and 57 of the Parish of Kopuru, and by a public road; towards the south by Section No. 126 of the Parish of Kopuru aforesaid; towards the west generally by Sections Nos. 135, 136, and 137 of the parish aforesaid, across and by a public road, and again by Section No. 137 aforesaid; and towards the north-west by the Oturei Block: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51291, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

Danneverke Hospital incorporated.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1903.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS a petition, in terms of sections forty-two and forty-three of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” has been presented to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand from not less than fifty subscribers to the Danneverke Hospital, praying that the said hospital may be incorporated as a separate institution under the said Act: And whereas the substance of the said petition was gazetted on the tenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and three, and no counter-petition has been received by the Colonial Secretary, or objection lodged with him by the District Board, within one month from the date of such publication:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” doth hereby declare the contributors for the time being to the said hospital to be a body politic and corporate by the style and title of “The Danneverke Hospital.”
