Approving and appointing a Bonding Warehouse.
CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by “The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,” I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the undermentioned warehouse to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond, namely,—
Port of Lyttelton.
A brick building, roofed with iron, situate in Cashel Street, Christchurch, on Lot 8, Deposit Plan 796, being part of Town Section 814, to be known as
UNIVERSAL BOND.

THE following special order, made by the Eltham Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

ELTHAM DRAINAGE BOARD.
Special Order.
Copy of resolution adopted at a special meeting of the Board held on Monday, 27th October, 1902 :—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Land Drainage Act, 1893,” and the amendments thereof, the Eltham Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £350, authorised to be raised by the Eltham Drainage Board under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of deepening, widening, straightening, cleansing, repairing, and generally improving the following drains or watercourses,—
No. 1. The drain or watercourse from a point beginning with the Repo Road, between Sections 98 and 99, Block X., Ngaiire Survey District, to the eastward to the eastern boundary of No. 3 (Western) Ward of the Eltham Drainage District—that is to say, to a line running parallel with the eastern boundary of Section 47, Block XI., Ngaiire Survey District, and severing from the said section an area of 111 acres, and which said area is embraced within the before-mentioned No. 3 (Western) Ward ;
No. 2. The drain or watercourse from the Chapman Road to the eastward to the south-east corner of Section 45, Block XI., Ngaiire Survey District ;
No. 3. The drain or watercourse connecting the drains or watercourses described in Nos. 1 and 2 hereof, and running through portion of Section 101, Block X., Ngaiire Survey District ;
And the balance (if any) of such loan shall be expended on the continuation of drain or watercourse described in No. 3 hereof (all the said works being one continuous public work),—the said Eltham Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of that portion of the Eltham Drainage District comprising the northern half of Section 54 and Sections 53, 98, 99, 100, 101, of Block X., Ngaiire Survey District ; Sections 45, 46, 54, and part Section 47 (111 acres), of Block XI., Ngaiire Survey District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off ; and that the interest on such loan is at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum.
I hereby certify that the resolution initiating the above special order was adopted at a special meeting of the Board held on Monday, the 27th October, 1902, and duly confirmed at a meeting held on Wednesday, the 7th January, 1903.

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorised to be raised by the Hawera County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” for the construction of Bath Street, Eltham, the Hawera County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in that portion of the Eltham Riding of the Hawera County comprising Subdivisions 1 to 15 inclusive, 42 to 56 inclusive, of Sections 31 and 32, Block X., Ngaiire Survey District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
