IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Paritutu Survey District hereinafter described, that is to say,—

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners of the lands hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Karaka Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS the Arch Hill Road Board lately proposed to raise a special loan of one thousand six hundred pounds for road-formation and extension of drainage-works within the said road district: And whereas, in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” a poll of ratepayers was taken at which the said proposal was carried: And whereas it appears that the seven clear days’ public notice convening the meeting of ratepayers required by section nine of the said “Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” had not been given, and it is expedient to validate such irregularity:
