A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one-hundred-and-seventy-second section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six of Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892," relating to small grazing-runs.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.

"Counties Act, 1886," revived and brought into Force in the County of Oroua.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS "The Counties Act, 1886" (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), is suspended within the County of Oroua, and the Council of the said county, at a special meeting held on the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and three, under the provisions of the said Act, determined, by a resolution passed by a clear majority in number of the whole of such Council, that the whole of the said Act should come into force in the aforesaid county, and a copy of the aforesaid resolution has been presented to me: And whereas it appears expedient to give effect to the terms of such resolution:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby proclaim and declare that the whole of "The Counties Act, 1886," shall come into force and its operation be revived within the County of Oroua on the first day of August, one-thousand nine hundred and three, and the said Act shall thereafter continue to be in force within the said county.
And with the like advice and consent I do further proclaim and declare that the election of Councillors for the ridings of the said County of Oroua shall be held on Tuesday, the twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and three, and that the existing Councillors for the said county shall vacate their offices on Saturday, the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and three.
And lastly, with the like advice and consent, I do hereby declare that no property or rates belonging or payable to any Road Boards or Town Boards in the said County of Oroua shall vest in the Council of the said county, and that no liability of any of the said Road Boards or Town Boards shall be a liability to be discharged by the said Oroua County Council.

Notifying Lands in Otago for Sale by Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and three, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
