All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1375 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 2, Block IV., Section No. 2, Block V., and Section No. 2,
Block VI., Paterson Survey District. Bounded towards the
south by a line running due west from the shore of Abraham’s
Bay to the shore of Caerhowel Arm, the said line being dis-
tant 2600 links south of Trig. Station A (Pryse Peak); to-
wards the north-west generally by said Caerhowel Arm;
towards the north-east generally by the shore of Paterson
Inlet; and towards the south-east by the shore of Abraham’s
Bay aforesaid. For a scenic reserve.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 110 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 3, Block IV., Paterson Survey District. Bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the western shore of Caer-
howel Arm, the said point being distant 4400 links north and
10600 links west of Trig. Station A (Pryse Peak) on the north-
ern boundary-line of Block V. of said district, and proceed-
ing thence in a north-westerly direction 2800 links; thence
north-easterly by a line at right angles to the last-mentioned
boundary-line, 4400 links; thence south-easterly by a line at
right angles to the last-mentioned boundary-line to said
Caerhowel Arm, 2600 links; and thence towards the south-
west by Caerhowel Arm aforesaid to the point of commence-
ment: and including the adjacent island. For a scenic re-
serve.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 19 acres, more or less, being Section No. 161,
Block I., Paterson Survey District. Bounded by a line com-
mencing at a point on the shore of Lee Bay, the said point
being distant 4200 links north and 800 links west of Trig.
Station K (Garden Mound) in said block, and proceeding
thence in a south-westerly direction a distance of 2000 links;
thence north-westerly by a line at right angles to the last-
mentioned boundary-line, 1300 links, to the mouth of a small
stream flowing into Boat Shelter Cove; and thence towards
the north generally by said Boat Shelter Cove and Lee Bay
to the point of commencement. For a scenic reserve.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 37 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less,
being Sections Nos. 10, 11, 12, and 13, Block II., Paterson
Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a
road reserve along the shore of Wooding Bay; towards the
south-east by Section No. 1. 3605·1 links; thence towards the
south-west by Crown land, 1337·7 links; and thence towards
the north-west by Crown land, 2310·5 links. For a scenic
reserve.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 150 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 1, Block XII., Anglem Survey District. Bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the coast-line, the said
point being distant about 7000 links south of Saddle Point,
and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction 2600
links; thence south-easterly by a line at right angles to
the last-mentioned boundary-line, 6000 links; thence north-
easterly by a line at right angles to the last-mentioned
boundary-line, 2400 links, to the coast-line; and thence to-
wards the north-east generally by the said coast-line to the
point of commencement. For a scenic reserve.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 60 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 1, Block V., Mason Survey District. Bounded towards
the north by Block VI. of said district from its south-west
angle, 1500 links; thence towards the east by a line due
south, 4000 links; thence towards the south by a line due
west, 1500 links, to the western boundary-line of Block V.
aforesaid; and thence towards the west by the said western
boundary-line to the south-west angle of Block VI. before
mentioned. For a scenic reserve.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same
are delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 48220A, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 28 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 7, Block I., Lord’s River Survey District. Bounded by
a line commencing at a point on the shore of Abraham’s
Bosom, the said point being distant 18100 links south and
3600 links west of Trig. Station R, on northern boundary-
line of said block, and proceeding thence due west 2600 links;
thence by a line due north 2700 links to a small stream flow-
ing into said Abraham’s Bosom; towards the north-west by
the said stream to Abraham’s Bosom aforesaid; and towards
the east generally by the said Abraham’s Bosom to the point
of commencement. For a scenic reserve.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 115 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 8, Block I., Lord’s River Survey District. Bounded
towards the north-west by a small stream that flows into
the northern arm of Port Adventure, the mouth of said
stream being distant about 3200 links along the eastern
shore of the said arm from the mouth of the Heron River,
and proceeding thence along the south bank of said stream a
distance of 1400 links; thence towards the north-east by a
a line in a south-easterly direction, a distance of 6000 links;
thence towards the south-east by a line at right angles to the
last-mentioned boundary-line, a distance of 2400 links, to the
northern arm aforesaid; and thence towards the south-
west generally by the said northern arm to the mouth of the
small stream before mentioned. For a scenic reserve.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 255 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 1, Block VII., and Section No. 1, Block VIII., South
Cape Survey District. Bounded by a line commencing at a
point on the southern shore of an inlet of the north arm of
Port Pegasus, the said point being distant 12400 links south
and 9200 links west of Trig. Station E in Block III.,
Pegasus Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-
westerly direction 6500 links; thence north-easterly by a
line at right angles to the last-mentioned boundary-line,
4800 links; thence south-easterly by a line at right angles to
the last-mentioned boundary-line, 6000 links; thence
south-westerly by a line at right angles to the last-mentioned
boundary-line, 1600 links, to the northern shore of said
inlet; and thence towards the south-west and north-east
generally by the shore of said inlet to the point of commence-
ment. For a scenic reserve.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 140 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 1, Block X., Paterson Survey District. Bounded by a
line commencing at a point at the mouth of a small stream
flowing into Chew Tobacco Bay, the said point being distant
6500 links south and 1000 links west of Trig. Station Q in
said block, and proceeding thence due south 3000 links;
thence by a line due east to the ocean, 8500 links; and
thence towards the east and north by the ocean and the said
Chew Tobacco Bay respectively to the point of commence-
ment. For a scenic reserve.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are
delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 48220B, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wel-
ington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured
red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and three.

Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.


RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth sec-
tion of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or par-
ticular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the
land in the Auckland Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said
Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land
so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 286 (Block XIII., Komakorau Survey District), Parish
of Pukete. Bounded towards the north-east by the Waikato
River, towards the south-west by a public road, and
towards the north-west by Section No. 34, Pukete Parish:
as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50722,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
and thereon bordered red. For a gravel reserve.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and three.
