Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the seventy-third section of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.
Waitahaia Block, 14,380 Acres.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 14,380 acres, more or less, and situated in the Hikurangi and Tutamoe Survey Districts. Bounded towards the north generally by State Forest Reserve, the Mangaokura Stream, and the Waingata River; towards the east by the Waitahaia River and Section No. 3, Block XV., Hikurangi Survey District; towards the south by the Hauturu Block and Huiarua No. 2 and No. 3 Blocks; and towards the west by the Mangawaru No. 2 Block: as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 50704, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.

Whakapaupakihi Block, 15,000 Acres.
ALL that area in the Auckland and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts, containing by admeasurement 15,000 acres, more or less, and situated in the Urutawa West, Urutawa East, and Motu Survey Districts. Bounded towards the north generally by Whitikau Blocks Nos. 3A and 1, and by roads; towards the east by the Motu River; towards the south by the Motu River aforesaid, a public road, Sections Nos. 19 and 20 of Block II., Motu Survey District, a public road, and by Native land; and towards the west generally by the Pakihi River and Oamaru Block: as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 50682, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

ERRATUM.—In the twentieth line of the Proclamation amending description of Native Township of Te Kuiti, published on page 1475 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 51, of the 29th June, 1903, for “one thousand nine hundred and two” read “one thousand nine hundred and three.”
