THE following special order, made by the Mataongaonga Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

COPY OF SPECIAL ORDER made by the Mataongaonga Road Board on the 31st Day of December, 1902.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” the Mataongaonga Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 authorised to be raised by the Mataongaonga Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming and metalling and providing necessary culverts for the Hakake, Tinirau, Mawae, and Mamaku Streets, Eastown Road, the portion of Imamoana Avenue lying between Kepa Street and Nixon Street, the portion of Kepa Street lying between Tinirau Street and Ikamoana Avenue, in Eastown and Eastown Extension; and Nixon Street, which passes through Sections 63 and 64, Block I., Ikitara Survey District; Ikamoana Street, the portion of Clapham Street lying between Ikamoana Street and Morgan Street, and Morgan Street, in Sedgebrook Township; and White Street, in the Township of Ladysmith, the said Mataongaonga Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Eastown and Sedgebrook Special-rating District—comprising the whole of that portion of the original Sedgebrook Estate which is bounded by the railway-line on the north-east, by Section 77, Block I., Ikitara Survey District, on the north, by the Wanganui River on the south-west, and No. 3 line on the east; said Section 77, Lots 1 to 19 of Section 78, Block I., Ikitara Survey District; Subdivision 30, Sections 78 and 79, part of Subdivision 30 of said Section 79, and Lots 1 to 7, Section 80, same survey district; and the whole of the Eastown and Eastown Extension, and Lots 6, 7, 20, 24, 37, 38, and part 39, Section 90, Block I., Ikitara Survey District; part Lot 39, and Lots 40 and 41, Section 91, of same block: containing 642 acres (be the same a little more or less)—and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable half-yearly on the 1st days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, Ernest Barns, of Wanganui, Clerk to the Mataongaonga Road Board, do hereby certify that the annexed copy of a special order is a true copy of a special order made by the Mataongaonga Road Board on the 31st day of December, 1902, and that such special order was made in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” the Kiwitea County Council do hereby resolve as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for providing half the cost of trimming and metalling the Mangamako Road from end of present metal to the junction with Signal Street, Village of Marshall, the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Marshall Special-rating District, comprising Sections 75, 76, Block XIV. and II., Apiti; 8, Block XIV., Hautapu; 73, 74, 62, 70, 72, Block II., Apiti; 77, 78, Blocks XIV. and II., Hautapu and Apiti; part 71, Block III., Apiti; part 69, Block III., Apiti; 1, Block XV., Hautapu; part 71, Block XV., Hautapu; part 1h, 1f, Otamakapua N.R.; 12, 13, 14, 26, 27, 5, 9, 31, 20, 21, 22, 23, 16, 17, 28, 29, 30, 49, 1, 2, 3, 24, 25, and 47, Village of Marshall; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Frankley Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

FRANKLEY ROAD BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Frankley Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000 authorised to be raised by the Frankley Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the following purposes—£500 to be spent in forming and metalling the upper portion of the Frankley Road, from the present metal to Welbourne gate; £1,500 to be spent in purchasing land for road-deviation, making tunnel, cutting down, forming, and metalling the first two miles of the Frankley Road from the borough boundary—the said Frankley Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Frankley Road Rating District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
This special order will be confirmed at a special meeting of the Frankley Road Board to be held on Saturday, the 29th November, 1902.
