Declaring Part of the Mataimoana Road to be a District Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of June, 1903.

I N pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and two of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the road described in the Schedule below, and which was made by the Governor under powers contained in “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and has hitherto been a Government road, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a district road within the Wairoa Road District.
SCHEDULE.
That portion of the road known as the Mataimoana Road commencing at the junction of the Moturoa–Okahutiria and Mataimoana Roads, at the north-western corner of Section 4, Block XVI., Opaku Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction to the junction of the Nukuhau and Mataimoana Roads, at the north-eastern boundary of Section 3, Block XII., Opaku Survey District, a length of two miles or thereabouts; as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 707, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Powers delegated to the Purangi Domain Board under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

W HEREAS by the twelfth section of “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred, save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons, for any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be specified in such Order, and that every such delegation may from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked: And whereas, pursuant to “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land described in the Schedule hereto, situate in the Taranaki Land District, is declared to be brought under the operation of and to be subject to the provisions of the said “Public Domains Act, 1881”:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby, and in respect of the land hereinafter mentioned, delegate all the powers conferred by the said Act, except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, for the period of ten years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), to the undermentioned persons, who shall be known as the Purangi Domain Board, namely,—
Francis John Webb,
William Hyde Hart,
William Pennington,
William Dowman, sen.,
Austin Bell Leech,
George William Chapman, and
Herbert Nelmes Silk
(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the last Thursday in each month, at two o’clock p.m., at Mr. Silk’s store, Purangi, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Thursday, the thirtieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the last Thursday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcel of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2, Block II., Ngatimaru Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 8, Block I., Ngatimaru Survey District, and by Willow Terrace; towards the south-east by Silk Road; towards the south-west by Purangi Terrace; and towards the north-west by Ngatoto Road: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth.

Revoking Delegation of Powers under “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” to the Pokeno Domain Board.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, made and issued on the twenty-seventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, under the said Act, and delegating all the powers conferred by the said Act (except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve thereof) in respect of the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto to the following persons, who are known as the Pokeno Domain Board, namely:—

WILLIAM MOTION,

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 26 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, being Allotment No. 138, Section 1, Settlement of Pokeno, in the Opaheke Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Allotment No. 137; towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south-east and east by Allotment No. 134; towards the south by Allotment No. 127; and towards the west and south-west by Allotment No. 136.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 105 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 154, Parish of Maungatawhiri, in the
