RUAPEHU RIDING.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary of the Waimarino County as described in “The Waimarino County Act, 1902,” from the Waimarino-Taumarunui Road to Tongariro Trig. Station; thence towards the south-east generally by the eastern boundary of the said Waimarino County to Ruapehu Trig. Station; thence by the north-eastern boundary-line of the Urewera Block to the Mangaiti Stream; thence by the Mangaiti Stream to its confluence with the Mangawhero River; thence by the Mangawhero River to its confluence with the Makararui Stream; thence by the Makararui Stream to the eastern boundary of Part 1 of Run No. 95 (Tawhito-ariki Block); thence by the eastern boundary-line of Part 1 of the said Run No. 25 to its southern boundary-line; thence towards the south generally by the southern boundary-line of Part 1 of the said Run No. 25 to the Mangawhero River: thence by the Mangawhero River to the north-eastern boundary-line of Ngapakihi or Raetihi No. 1 Block; thence by that block to the Pipiriki-Ohakune Road; thence by the said Pipiriki-Ohakune Road to the Township of Raetihi; and thence by the Township of Raetihi to the eastern boundary of the Huikumu Riding hereinbefore described: thence towards the west generally by the said Huikumu Riding and the Mangarui Riding hereinbefore described to the place of commencement.

KARIOI RIDING.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north by part of the northern boundary of the Waimarino county as described in “The Waimarino County Act, 1902,” from Ruspehu Trig. Station to Trig. Station No. 29, Kaimanawa Survey District; thence towards the east by the eastern boundary of the said Waimarino County to Trig. Station C on Auahitotara; thence towards the south generally by the southern boundary of the said Waimarino County to the junction of the Taupo-Hunterville and Pipiriki-Waiouru Roads; thence by the said Pipiriki-Waiouru Road to the Mangaehehu Stream; thence towards the west generally by the Mangaehehu Stream to the northern boundary-line of Section No. 5, Block V., Kariol Survey District; thence by the northern boundary-line of the said Section No. 5 to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 4, Block I.; thence by that road to a point in line with the northern boundary-line of the said Section No. 4; thence across that road and by Sections Nos. 4 and 1, Block I., Kariol Survey District aforesaid, and the northern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to the right bank of the Mangawhero River; and thence by the Ruapehu Riding hereinbefore described to the place of commencement.

PARAPARA RIDING.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Huikumu Riding hereinbefore described from the Wanganui River to the Township of Raetihi; thence by the Township of Raetihi to the Pipiriki-Ohakune Road; thence by the Ruapehu Riding hereinbefore described to the easternmost corner of Part 2 of Run No. 25 (Tawhito-ariki Block); thence towards the south-east generally by the south-eastern and southern boundaries of the said Part 2 of Run No. 25 to the Mangawhero River: thence towards the east generally by the Mangawhero River
to the northern boundary of the Tanakira Block; thence towards the south by the Tanakira Block to the Wanganui River; and thence towards the west and south-west generally by the Wanganui River to the place of commencement.

RAETIHI RIDING.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, being the Township of Raetihi, bounded towards the north by the Ruapehu Riding hereinbefore described; towards the east by the said Ruapehu Riding and the Parapara Riding hereinbefore described; towards the south by the Parapara Riding; and towards the west by the said Parapara Riding and the Huikumu Riding hereinbefore described.

OHAKUNE RIDING.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north-west generally by the Ruapehu Riding from the easternmost corner of Part 2 of Run No. 25 (Tawhito-ariki Block) to a point on the right bank of the Mangawhero River in line with the northern boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block I., Kariol Survey District; thence towards the north-east generally by the Kariol Riding hereinbefore described to the junction of the Taupo-Hunterville and Pipiriki-Waiouru Roads; thence towards the east and south-east generally by the eastern and southern boundaries of the Waimarino County as described in “The Waimarino County Act, 1902,” to the northern boundary-line of the Tanakira Block; and thence towards the west generally by the Parapara Riding hereinbefore described to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.

Arrangements for First Elections, &c., Waimarino County.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

WILLIAM SMITH KING

to be the person to make up electors’ rolls for the Ridings of Huikumu, Manganui, Ruapehu, Kariol, Parapara, Raetihi, and Ohakune, in the County of Waimarino, as constituted by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Waimarino County Act, 1902”; also to be Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of members of the Council of the said county, and to be the Clerk of the Council of the said county for the purpose of presiding at the first meeting thereof.
