TAKE notice that the company mentioned in the Schedule hereunder will, unless cause is shown to the contrary within three months from the date hereof, be struck off the Register, and the company will be dissolved.

NOTICE TO TAKE LAND FOR WIDENING PARK ROAD.
TO all whom it may concern.—Take notice that it is the intention of "The Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Carterton" to take, for the purpose of widening Park Road, all that piece of land, containing by admeasurement 9 1/10 perches, more or less, being part of the section numbered 142 on the plan of the Taratahi Plain Block, situate at the corner of High Street and Park Road, being the property of the Bank of New Zealand, and in the occupation of the said Bank of New Zealand.
And take further notice that a survey of the aforesaid piece of land required to be taken has been made, and a plan thereof prepared, a copy of which said plan has been deposited at the Borough Council Chambers, Carterton, and is now open to inspection there by all persons at all reasonable hours.
And take further notice that all persons affected by the taking of the aforesaid piece of land or by the widening of the said Park Road are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection, and to send such objection in writing within forty days from the present date hereof (being the first publication of this notice) to the Carterton Borough Council, at the Council Chambers, Carterton.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and the amendments thereof; and in the matter of the Wanganui Fruit Company (Limited).
Tuesday, the 21st day of April, 1903.
UPON the petition of the Southern Cross Biscuit Company (Limited), being a company incorporated under "The Companies Act, 1882," carrying on business at Wanganui, in the Provincial District of Wellington, a creditor of the abovenamed company, on the 4th day of April, 1903, preferred unto a Judge of the Supreme Court: And upon hearing counsel for the petitioner and for one of the Liquidators appointed for the purpose of the voluntary winding-up of the affairs of the said Wanganui Fruit Company (Limited), and for several creditors and shareholders thereof: And upon reading the said petition; an affidavit of William Samuel Dustin, filed on the 4th day of April, 1902, verifying the said petition; an amendment of the said petition, and an affidavit of the said William Samuel Dustin verifying the same, filed respectively on the 20th day of April, 1903; the New Zealand Gazette of the 9th day of April, 1903, the Wanganui Herald newspaper of the 8th day of April, 1903, and the Wanganui Chronicle newspaper of the 9th day of April, 1903, each containing an advertisement of the said petition; and an affidavit of Louis Joseph Duflou, filed on the 17th day of April, 1903; and the two affidavits of Thomas Lloyd, filed on the 17th day of April, 1903, and the 21st day of April, 1903, respectively:
I, Charles Cargill Kettle, Esquire, Registrar of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, located at Wanganui, in the Provincial District of Wellington, acting for a Judge of the said Court, under the powers in that behalf given to me by Proclamation issued by His Excellency the Governor under "The Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act Amendment Act, 1893," on the 27th day of October, 1893, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 2nd day of November, 1893, and in exercise of the powers given to me by the said Act, and otherwise howsoever, do order,–
(a.) That the said Wanganui Fruit Company (Limited) be wound up by this Court under the provisions of "The Companies Act, 1882," and the Acts amending the same.
(b.) That the costs of the petitioners' solicitors in the matter of the said petition be taxed and paid by the official Liquidator.
(c.) That all proceedings subsequent to the date of this order shall be had in the District Court of Wanganui, holden at Wanganui.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o'clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed "Public a/c," and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
