colony, doth hereby direct that the Order in Council imposing an export duty on kauri timber, dated the tenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and two, shall be and the same is hereby emended by inserting the words “or its equivalent” after the words, “Flitches, exceeding thirty inches in width end nine inches in thickness.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of April, 1903.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the purpose of a road, in Maungakaretu Survey District ; And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown : And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act 1894” :
Now, therefore,’ in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road, and shall vest in His Majesty the King, as from the fifteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Amending the Description of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.
RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-ninth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that where there has been any error of description made in any notification of any intended reserve, or where there appears a great discrepancy in the area of any intended reserve after the same shall have been surveyed, the Governor may cancel any notification that may have been made in respect of such reserve, and issue fresh notifications in respect thereof, with amended particulars and description: And whereas an error was made in the description of Section No. 33, Square No. 6, Block XI., Wangapeka Survey District, Nelson Land District, the area of which was wrongly stated as eighty acres in the notification dated the fifteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, published in the Nelson Provincial Gazette No. 7, of the nineteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, reserving the land for public utility ; and it is expedient to cancel the said notification in so far as it relates to Section No. 33, Square No. 6, Block XI., Wangapeka Survey District, aforesaid :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the notification of the fifteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, in so far as it relates to Section No. 33, Square No. 6, Block XI., Wangapeka Survey District, and do declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be the land set apart for public utility intended by the said notification.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, being Section No. 33, Square No. 6, Block XI., Wangapeka Survey District, containing by admeasurement 94 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 23 of said Block XI., across a public road, and again by said Section No. 23, 2612 links; thence towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 31 and 23 of said Block XI., 4985 links; thence towards the south-west by Section No. 31 of said Block XI., across a public road, and again by said Section No. 31 for a distance of 1111 links; and thence towards the north-west by road reserve along the bank of the Wangapeka River, 5134 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50081, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Land temporarily reserved in the Wellington Land District.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a reserve for the purpose of depositing refuse or rubbish.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 24 perches, more or less, being Section No. 31a, Suburbs of Mangaweka. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east by Section No. 31, thence towards the south-east by Section No. 50 (recreation reserve), and thence towards the south-west by Tuna Road ; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50289, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and three.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
FRANK DEERING PELLING
to be a Trustee, in the place of Bartle Lund, who has left the district, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Ekatahuna Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and three.
