PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the under-
signed, the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors,
and Citizens of the City of Dunedin, hereby applies for a
license for a dam, as specified in the Schedule hereto,
the site whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner’s right: 2nd March, 1903;
No. 28036.
Address for service: Town Hall, Dunedin.
Dated at Dunedin, this 3rd day of March, 1903.

SCHEDULE.

Locality of dam: Across the Lees Stream, at a point
40 chains above its junction with Fortification Creek.
Particulars of dam: Length of dam-wall, 70 ft.; greatest
height of same, 15 ft.; breadth of same at base, 15 ft.;
length and width of water-area, 40 chains by 45 ft.; esti-
mated time and cost of construction, twelve months, £1,500.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.
Purpose for which water is to be stored: Generating elec-
tricity for transmission of power and electric lighting.
