Resuming Land held under Lease for a Site for a Public Hall.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and twenty-five of “The Land Act, 1892” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor in Council may, by Proclamation, resume possession of any land leased under Part III. of the said Act which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land which is held on lease in perpetuity from His Majesty the King under Part III. of the said Act, dated the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and two:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for the purpose of a public-hall site:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities in any-wise enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under lease as aforesaid; and do also hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and three.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.

Land taken for a Further Portion of the Branch Line of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway from Stratford to Kawakawa (Portion of the Oruru Section).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the branch line of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway from Stratford to Kawakawa—namely, a portion of the Oruru Section:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for a further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
