Appointing Day for closing under “The Shops and Shop-assistants Act, 1894.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of February, 1903.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the local authority of the Town District of Havelock, being duly authorised by “The Shops and Shop-assistants Act, 1894,” to appoint by special resolution, in the month of January, one thousand nine hundred and three, the day on which shops in the said town district are to be closed in accordance with the said Act, has failed so to appoint a day:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section ten of the said Act, do hereby appoint Wednesday to be the day on which shops shall be closed in the said town district, in accordance with the said Act.

Consenting to closing Road in Block VI., Pomahaka Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of February, 1903.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Clutha County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Clutha County Council closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Approximate Area of the Portion of Road to be closed. Being between Sections Situated in Block Situated in Survey District of Shown on Plan Coloured on Plan
A. R. P. 1 0 6 26 & 27 VI. Pomahaka R. 2726 Green.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above noted, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Consenting to closing Roads in the Okahu and Whakahara Parishes.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of February, 1903.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. C. WALKER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twelve, subsection one, of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1900,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Hobson County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the roads described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Hobson County Council closing the parts of the roads mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
