Vesting Reserves in the Opotiki County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of October, 1902.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for the purposes stated in the said Schedule:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the said lands should be vested in the Opotiki County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Opotiki County,” in trust, as reserves for the purposes specified in the last column of the said Schedule.

Eltham Drainage District extended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of October, 1902.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the fifth section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1893,” a majority of the ratepayers in the area described in the First Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Hawera, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand praying that the land comprised in the said area be added to the Eltham Drainage District as constituted under the provisions of the said Act: Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the fifth section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1893,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the areas of land described in the said petition, and in the First Schedule hereto, shall be added to the said Eltham Drainage District, and that the boundaries of the said drainage district, with such addition as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE ADDED TO THE ELTHAM LAND-DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, situated in Blocks VI. and X., Ngaiere Survey District, bounded towards the north by Cheal Road from the north-western corner of Section No. 43, Block VI., to the north-western corner of Section No. 48, Block VI. aforesaid; thence towards the east generally by the said Section No. 48, and Section No. 94, Block X., to Anderson Road; thence towards the south by Anderson Road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 22, Block X. aforesaid; thence towards the west by Sections Nos. 22 and 21; again towards the south by the said Section No. 21 to Mountain Road; thence again towards the west generally by Mountain Road to the south-western corner of Section No. 42, Block VI.; and thence by Sections Nos. 42, 41, and 40, Block VI. aforesaid, to Cheal Road, the place of commencement.

ELTHAM DRAINAGE DISTRICT (EXTENDED BOUNDARIES).

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, situated in Blocks VI., VII., X., XI., and XV., Ngaiere Survey District, bounded towards the north generally by Cheal Road from the north-western corner of Section No. 43 of Block VI. to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 49; thence by Section No. 73, Block VI., the crossing of a road, and by Section No. 13, Block VII., to the northernmost corner of Section No. 14, Block VII.; thence towards the north-east by the Pukengahu Block to the easternmost corner of Section No. 41, Block XI.; thence towards the east generally by Sections Nos. 17, 12, and 11, Block XII., to Rawhitiroa Road; thence by a line across that road to the northernmost corner of Section No. 7, Block XI.; thence by the said Section No. 7 to Sangster Road; thence by that road to the said Section No. 7; thence by Section No. 7 aforesaid and Section No. 6 to the said Sangster Road; thence by that road to Section No. 5, Block XI.; thence by Section No. 5 aforesaid and Sections Nos. 32 and 31, Block XV., to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south-west by Section No. 9, Block XV., the crossing of a road, and by Sections Nos. 4, 3, 2, 1, Block XI., and Section No. 55, Block X.; thence again towards the east by the said Section No. 55 to the Mangawhero Road; thence again towards the south by the Mangawhero Road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 46, Block X.; thence towards the west generally by Sections Nos. 46 and 45, the crossing of a road, and by Section No. 93, to Rawhitiroa Road; thence by that road and Anderson Road to Section No. 22, Block X.; thence by Sections Nos. 22 and 21, Block X., to Mountain Road; thence by Mountain Road to Section No. 42, Block VI.; and thence by Sections Nos. 42, 41, and 40, Block VI., to Cheal Road, the place of commencement: excluding from the above-described area Sections Nos. 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28, Block XI., Ngaiere Survey District.
