WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Tramways Act, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the abovementioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of electric tramways; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate at the corner of Brandon Street and Featherston Street, in the said city, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Wellington.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan above mentioned, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

NEW ZEALAND TIMBER COMPANY PROPRIETARY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the situation of the Office or place of business of the New Zealand Timber Company Proprietary (Limited) has been changed from Opua to the company’s place of business at Koutu, Hokianga.

In the matter of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884”; and in the matter of J. Bayley and Sons (Limited), a company registered in the State of New South Wales and about to carry on business in New Zealand.

NOTICE is hereby given that J. BAYLEY AND SONS (LIMITED) propose to carry on business at Burnside, in the Provincial District of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand; and that the office or place of business of the said company in New Zealand is situate at Burnside aforesaid.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto carried on by JOHN JELLEY and CHARLES RIDGE BIRD WILKINSON, as Brickmakers, at Abbotsford, under the style of “Jelley and Wilkinson,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business will in future be carried on by the said Charles Ridge Bird Wilkinson, in his own name, and he will pay all debts owing by, and receive all moneys owing to, the late firm.

The Supplement will be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on payment of a subscription of ten shillings per annum, payable in advance to the Government Printer.
